Always tasty and fresh from this small Thai restaurant. Favorites include Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle) with flat noodles, Mongolian Beef, Basil Stir Fry and of course Pad Thai. While I’ve never sampled them, the display cases have ample pastry items for your sweet tooth. We...do take out and haven’t had a bad meal from this clean establishment with attentive staff.More

I came with a friend to Thai Pastry and the lunch menu is $8.50 for soup, small appetizer and a small entree. There are about 18 entrees to choose from rice or noodles with beef, chicken, shrimp or tofu. Shrimp is $1.50 extra and it...is frozen not fresh. I ordered the panang curry and it was great. The basil chicken was so so. For dessert we ordered pág is like a flan in texture and color. It was very good served warm. Service is average but it balances with the awesome price. Decoration is with plastic flowers and gold bird cages. One strong advise bring cash and your life will be easier at Thai Pastry. Take a Pastry home with cash only.More

This restaurant offers delicious entrees, appetizers, and fresh smoothies at reasonable prices. Portions are decent too. The only drawback is that you do not get refills on beverages, such as tea and soda.

My Wife and I were with friends for dinner here before heading to the Green Mill for a night of Jazz. Our first dinner choice was closed for vacation. Reviews of Thai Pastry were good so we decided to stop in. The atmosphere us pretty...worn out. My Wife and I were late and our friends had Chicken Wing appetizers already ordered. I had one and that was enough. The flavor was like bad oil and not much seasoning. I then ordered Thai Sausage. Although not what I am used to buying on the streets in Thailand it was still good. Thai Sausage is hard to find in the U.S. as a main I ordered Lemongrass Chicken. This was not a good choice for me. The flavor was more like bad Chinese food. My Wife and I have been to Thailand about 15 times. We know our Thai food. Although our guests were happy with their food my Wife and I were both disappointed with our meal.More

I am sure I have reviewed this little gem on Broadway, just south of Little Chinatown on the North Side. They have all the standards, plus some daily creative specials, written on a board, much like the restaurants in Europe. Excellent coconut curries, grilled seafood...and extra touches like sweet sticky rice with mango slices (seasonally), basil chicken, great tod mun, classic pad Thai, very healthy with tofu. The rice noodles with a sweet milk sauce, was an unusual but seductive dessert. Wonderful friendly service.More

Early dinner on a Saturday evening. Thai Pastry was quiet. Decorated with all kinds of flowers; charming. The Hot Pepper Red Snapper was more savory than spicy, unless you ate the jalapenos (and those were delicious too). But the starter Cucumber salad was delicious. I'm...a big fan and have had that at many Thai places, but Thai Pastry's version was the absolute best. Beautiful pastry case also offering the most delicious, delicate and buttery almond cookies I've ever tasted.More

I am a frequent diner at Thai Pastry. The spring rolls are very fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the lime chicken which has a variety of flavors and textures. The chicken breasts are fried tempura style and served on a bead of crispy collard...greens. All dishes can be spiced to taste. If you would like good Thai food for a reasonable price, look no further.More

We stop here frequently for their lunch special which is delicious and priced at about seven bucks. It includes soup, appetizer, and dessert. The entrée portions are huge and we have never been disappointed. We have tried several curries, noodle dishes and the lime chicken....Free parking is available in the lot just north of the restaurant. We dine at several Thai restaurants in the city, and Thai Pastry is easily one of the best values around!More

Lovely thai meal, authentic flavours. A few of us went there and all thoroughly enjoyed our dinners at a decent price too. Would recommend.
