Good, but not "scale-tipping" fabulous. Enjoyed the shrimp alfredo and clams linguine. Although white sauce is no longer on the menu for the clams, they were happy to make it for me. Got the canoli and it was yummy. Neat experience to dine here. I suggest you come at least once and make up your own mind. We ate in... More

I went with a friend after a business symposium and panel. One must remember this place because it never disappoints and always delivers. We started with cocktails, great house bread and due to the lateness of the hour settled on caprese salads which were outstanding. Do yourself and your stomach a favor and drop in; you too will walk out... More

Decided to dine here after matinee performance of Hamilton as it was just down the street and open at 4:15 pm. Good decision. We ate in the original on the third floor. Loved the atmosphere and the food. I knew the portions would be large so I shared my husband's lasagne. The best!!!! Dinner salads are large. Mixed berry gelato... More

We have eaten here on more that one visit to Chicago. Each time I have high expectations and the Italian Village meets those expectations. The Italian Village is on three floors. Each is a separate restaurant. We have always eaten on the third floor. Its decor reminds me of an Italian Opera set. Very nice. I ordered meat stuffed cannelloni.... More

Needing a quiet spac to relax while in Chicago for a convention, I had initially thought that I would buy a sandwich nearby and hole up in my room for the evening. Then, I saw the sign for the Italian Village and I figured I could tolerate a small crowd to be able to have a proper meal. I was... More

I had been here once several years ago, and thought that my granddaughter would like the ambiance, and I was right. It truly is a beautiful place. I wish they took reservations for two, but at least we knew that in advance and had about a 40 minute wait. The food and service were good, not fantastic. We never did... More

Had a business lunch today upstairs. The cocktails arrive in unbelievably small glasses. The salad was too cumbersome to eat with the huge leafy greens. My steak was overdone. The waiter was very attentive and not obnoxiously so. Only go there because my business associate loves the place and they greet him by name on arrival.

Decided to revisit after a few years. Were in the area after the Lyric Opera. We had the dinner service upstairs in The Village on Sunday evening. Called ahead 3 days for reservations. They don't take reservations for 2. Waited 35 minutes only to be seated in the bar area with a hockey game playing on the bar TV. So... More

We wanted to eat here before the 7:30 p.m. show time for Hamilton. We arrived at around 6:40 p.m. I was afraid we wouldn't have enough time to eat before the show, however, the manager said he would make it is personal mission to ensure we ate and had enough time to make it. We then had a table within... More
