# Indian #indianfooover # vegetarian There are plenty of Indian food restaurants in Chicago but not many of them will impress you, assuming you are a fan of real Indian food. This place, though, is a among the better ones. I would rate it as - Ambience/location - 8/10, food - 8/10, service -7/10 and overall - 8/10. Located in... More

A couple of steps down and past a long bar is dining area with superb staff and fine chefs that create great food in the Indian tradition. The Samosas are superb, as is the Tandoori Chicken and any Dal you might try. Their Lassi drinks can be thicker or thinner, depending on who makes them, I presume.

Went for lunch on Sunday. Food quality was good but the service was awful. Also extremely crowded. It took them 10 mins to find us a table.

Every time we are in town, this is our can't be missed go-to Indian food restaurant. Dishes are consistently great - vindaloo is especially good and so are the saag dishes. Also love the complimentary "starters" table at dinner of veggies and papadum chips with sauces. Service is attentive. Prices reasonable. Give it a try - you can't go wrong.

Hands down, the BEST Indian food to ever pass my lips. I was very encouraged when 90% of the patrons were Indian. Perfect blend of spice and savory in my chicken tika masala. The nan was light and crisp. Waitstaff was efficient and polite. For the quality of food and service the price was fine.

This is a very spacious restaurant with well dressed wailers ready to welcome you. The ambiance is very good and the setting is excellent, though it is downstairs. We went for dinner and ordered 3 vegetables and naans. Everything was tasty, however, the price was on higher side as compared to other Indian restaurants in Chicago, may be due to... More

Gaylord food is usually good and it's one of my preferred places to eat in Chicago and Schaumburg. The only trouble is when you dine in, the price including tax and tips (around 30%) will look steep on an already pricey menu. I you take your family for a dinner and paying for the whole group, you are going to... More

its hard to understand how this place could still be in business. dry breads, flavorless and sloppy curries; service was disorganized but at least tolerable, but the manager there was so rude that its hard to imagine that someone like that could even be employed

Was in Chicago over the weekend and was told by a couple of folks about Gaylord, reviews were decent but in actuality the food was terrible. I had the chicken tikka masala, no flavor, worst I've ever had. The only silver lining was that the service was very good but still didn't make up for how much the food sucked.... More

The food was wonderful and our wait staff was fantastic. Chicken tikka masala and naan was the best. Thank you for the great food.
