We were out doing errands and got hungry, so we stopped in for the first time. Small diner atmosphere. Good sized menu and generous portions. I got the Benny Burger, a triple meat burger with lots of cheese and gf got the Chop Pak which...is a double burger with steak fries and cole slaw. She couldn't finish half of it and we split the sides. The burgers also have a slight crisp due to burning at the edges. I liked it, but made the burger seem more salty than it should. Also ordered a chocolate shake, but we got an Oreo shake. Not sure if that's what they considered chocolate, was still very good, just not what I ordered or expected. LOTS of food for under $20. NOT a lot of parking at this place. Awkward placement of spaces makes getting in and out difficult, especially when other customers park crooked in their car and are just sitting there eating and watching you try to back out without hitting them. Based on the reviews, I was expecting a pretty good burger that was large and well priced. I found exactly that and free parking. Since most reviews mentioned the Chop pack, I went with that. The fries were large and tasted fine. The burger had...two patties and came with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and grilled onions. I left out the cheese. I liked it but I can't rave about it. But for the price with the fries, cole slaw, and free parking, I have no complaints. If the chef or owner read this, I recommend they change the bun to one that is firmer, perhaps made with whole wheat. The bun disintegrated as I ate because it couldn't handle the wet ingredients. Alternatively, try lightly toasting it. If you are considering this restaurant, I suggest you do try it. At lunchtime there were many customers.More

The Chop Pack is probably one of the best bargains in the city. For $6.95 a great burger cooked with the edges nice and crispy. A really big helping of steak fries and some creamy slaw. Add one of their shakes and they will have...to roll you out the door. Take into consideration that I work nights near the skyway, so a drive to Ashland and Addison is a bit of a haul. But mention Choppers and there is always at least six orders and three or four of us willing to make the drive. It's that good.More

Choppers is a great place to pick up fast food that is good. The service is pretty good for a fast pace burger joint. I've been going there for years and never had a problem or complaint.

I visit this great burger joint for its great chicken sandwiches. They also serve the famous chop pack, which consists of a huge double cheeseburger with fries and coleslaw for around 6 bucks. You can feed two people with that huge burger. With reasonable prices...and occasionally new items added to the menu this is the place for the hungry man on a budget. A definite must visit.More

Well, the burgers here are ok, but what definitely got my attention were the shakes, not to mention that for those prices you won't get anything better anywhere else

We were driving back from Iowa to Chicago where we have our flight to New York City and we stopped by this place for launch. I had a double cheese Burger. IT WAS REAL AMERICAN BURGER!! Everything was perfect and clean. The staff had a...great smile! The chocolate milke shake was another story. It was AMAZING. I wish we have this place in New York City. The food is all pretty average. If you want greasy burgers, there are better places in the city. I go for the milkshakes, which are great.

The food here always leaves something to be desired. It's not the worst burger I've ever eaten, but it's definitely not even close to being one of my favorites. They tend to be overcooked, IMO. Choppers is a great place to eat when your in Chicago. It's a small buisness owned by a nice guy who is always around. They've got great burgers, beef and shakes.
