Great shwarma, great humus, and chicken tika. The owner was super nice, it's a one man show and he does it all himself from scratch. Walking distance from Medical District. I will come again. Every one who came in was also super nice and we...chatted with a bunch of people who come here regularly for take out. Looking forward to trying more of the menu.More

I came before going to the King and I. I loved the falafel. I also ordered tabouleh and while not the best I've had, it was flavorable. It was too oily and had more lemon and parsley, and too little bulgar wheat. I also had...a "Jerusalem " salad which came with the falafel. It was good, but I would just do the plain falafel again, maybe with hummus. There were no other customers, so I thought I picked a dud, but indeed, I had not. When I have more time I will be back for meat dishes. Well worth seeking this place out. Just FYI, no alcohol is served.More

As you enter you'll see the old guy who runs this place. He does all the chores from setting up the table, taking, orders, cooking, serving and billing. Now you'll wonder it'll take long for the food to come. It does nut not too long...and it is because everything is freshly made after you place the order. the guy is funny and jokes to lighten you up and serves the most delicious home cooked food you can ever have. This is my favorite place to eat at.More

inexpensive and delicious: dinner for two was $18 and the food was great. a much needed cultural break from the overpriced italian *american* restaurants that populate taylor street. i had a lovely conversation with the gentleman who ran couscous: great understanding between an italian (me)...and a palestinian (him).More

This is a small place, run by one man. He does both the cooking and the table waiting (at least at dinner time). The food was very good. From scratch hummus and pita bread, delicious! Hummus was a bit spicier than I was used to,...but still really good. We also had a huge salad that had all sorts of vegetables and feta cheese, it was tasty. I ended up not ordering an entree because I got so full, but everyone else loved their food.More

This is our go to middle eastern place at home and has been for almost ten years. Fabulous hummus and grape leaves. I usually order one of the vegetarian dishes, all great. BYOB a big plus.

I like the Shawarma and Falafel here and the good thing is that the owner runs the complete show here. Things can be slow at times but the personal attention and quality of food makes up for it.
