The rib tips are EVERYTHING!! The sauce takes them to the next level. Delish. Each visit to Chicago Lem's is a must.

We found THE Chicago BBQ experience here!! The staff was patient w/out-of-towners who weren't sure what to get. They were friendly & accomodating. The ribs were tender & the hot links were spicy, but not overly so. The hot & mild sauces should be bottled & sold! It's flavorful w/just enough of a kick. Prices are comparable to other BBQ... You walk in and see what's cooking. Everyone is busy working to get the orders filled. The food is delicious. The staff is courteous. Make sure you have napkins because the bbq sauce is great and you'll have it everywhere!

If this is the best BBQ in Chicago, then you don't know BBQ. Me and my wife went hear for the first time July 25th for the first time because of the Great reviews. We both was really dissatisfied. First the place where you order your food is really small and cramped. A lot of people was coming, so we... More

This is what Zagat had to say about Lem's Bar-B-Q House at 311 East 75th Street on Chicago's South Side: "BBQ as God meant it to be...Lem's can beat anything the Carolinas care to offer, or Georgia, or KC (Kansas City). And TX (Texas) isn't even on the map." High praise indeed. But if you can find Lem's--it is south... More

Good ribs two of the three times I have been here but you can not predict what you going to get after you order. I wish I could gave it a higher rating but the one time I got the over cook ribs will not let me.

This modest shack is found in terra incognita for white folks - south of Hyde Park, off the map, on a convincingly sketchy stretch of 75th Street not far from other iconic soul food sources (e.g., Army & Lou's), and across the street from the "Cathedral of Love" Missionary Baptist Church. The location, the ambiance (see other reviews), and the... More

This place is for rib lovers. Ribs are cooked behind bullet proof glass, some of the best in Chicago ( the glass and the ribs). You pass your money through a turnstile and the ribs come to you through a larger turnstile. Everyone behind that glass is perfectly safe. Don’t worry.
