Just a bad experience. It all started when we ordered an appetizer when we were seated. After 35 minutes the appetizer came out with the rest of the meal. Disappointment as we were hungry. Service was mediocre and the sushi was not even good. Just a bad experience all the way around.

This restaurant was a stop on our Food Planet Tour. I went in not too sure about sushi. I've only ever tried CA roll. We were served a mushroom roll and a spicy tuna roll along with wasabi, ginger and soy sauce. I could'nt bring myself to try to tuna since it was raw but my hubby loved it! Ha!... More

The sushi was excellent & the atmosphere was nice as well. The service was lacking though - the waitress was not friendly at all.

Stopped here as part of a food tour and had never had sushi before. I'm a vegetarian, so I had sushi with avocado and mushroom. Wow, it was delicious! I actually had never liked avocado before, but I guess I do now. I'm anxious to return and try more menu items.

My friends chose this restaurant for the sushi, but I'm not a sushi lover so I ordered something else. We sat outside which was lovely and the restaurant itself was very pretty inside and very inviting. I'll start with the good. My dinner was very good and the portions were very generous. I had the salmon teriyaki and it was... More

Great atmosphere and really good sushi. The mushroom roll was delicious and the spicy tuna was so good. They make their spicy mayo in house and it's definitely spicy!!

Coming from LA...I found Chicago sushi options very limited. And the few places I have tried, I wasn't impressed with the sushi rolls. But Kamehachi is wonderful! The sushi rolls tasted fresh and delicious...and the restaurant itself is large but cozy. I found a sushi place in Chicago I love and recommend!

We had a show at Second City on a Friday night at 8pm and so decided to eat and early dinner at Kamehachi. We made a reservation for 5:30pm. Dinner was amazing! Our waiter was Chris, who was amazing from the first moment and through out the night. Everything was excellent. My wife has an allium allergy (onion, garlic, etc.),... More

This place is only about 5 minutes from Second City, so works before or after a show. Really loved it - recommend the sea bass.

We had a nice table outside. The miso was delicious. The seasoned edamame was good. The Rolls were Amazing. The fish was fresh and sliced perfect. Drinks were good. The location was nice for walking off the big meal :) But the Fudge Pot is just across the street :0 We will be back!!
