Went for dinner with friends. Old time Italian food. Great service, decor 1950 Italian, food all exceptional. Can't suggest what to get because whatever you get has to be great...the best of that dish you've ever had. Bar area large, piano player, fun crowd. Dress however you are comfortable. Everyone welcome.

We rediscovered this place after some 20 years. Right in the neighborhood NW part of Chicago, easy to get to and free valet parking. It is somewhat old-fashioned décor, but the food and service are excellent. They give you plenty to eat, and all dinners come with a soup and salad. Can be a little noisy, but then what kind... We came to Sabatino's for dinner, just prior to Valentine's Day, in part because we knew that there would be great piano music at the bar. Most likely, that was the reason that the restaurant was really crowded. However, the service was very efficient, quick and our server was very personable. The music playing by the pianist, Robert K., was... More

This is a traditional Italian restaurant where the food and service are excellent. Dinner starts with a hot loaf of delicious bread along with some cheese bread - both complimentary Two of us had the Chicken Sabatino and loved it. The Sachetti was another entrée, and that was delicious as well. The chocolate mousse cake for dessert was delicious, and... More

This is a very special place for our family, from birthdays and anniversaries to a romantic night out. It feels like a fancy version of an Italian supper club. Pretty much everything comes with soup (get the stracciatella) and salad (blue cheese is incredible and perfectly chilled). A perfect crusty loaf of Italian bread is served at every table along... Sabatino's has been a neighborhood icon for over 35 years. It is always busy, but the service is very efficient. Depending on the day and time that you are there, you'll hear strolling musicians and on Friday & Saturday nights, there is a live piano bar manned by Robert K., who has an extensive variety on his playlist. Bread is... More

My son made reservations for a Friday night and it was very busy. They have valet, which I appreciate ... it's sometimes difficult to find parking. We were seated immediately, even though we were 20 minutes early. The restaurant is dark and on the night we were there it was loud. They have a bar area, which was crowded and... More

Food was very good, service was excellent (there when you wanted them, and then gone so you can enjoy your company). It has the neighborhood feel, and the dining room layout follows suit, with tables very close and noise level high. So, if you are looking for something quieter, I don't recommend.

Welcome to Sabatinos a beautiful old school Italian restaurant with delcious food and great ambieance. You get bread including focaccia - a kind of pizza bread, then a salad and soup, then an entree - try the veal Parmesan, and a side of pasta. Many recommend the baked Alaska dessert. Sabatino"s is dimly lit with flowers on every table, this Italian-American restaurant has been the perfect date restaurant for about 25 years. Diners might have their steak or seafood entrees complemented by the serenade of strolling musicians in the main room or piano music in the bar area. Angelo Pagni, who owns the restaurant with his brother, Enzo, said Sabatino's is popular in the neighborhood for a lot of reasons, food and atmosphere and chief among them. Stop in today!
