I am so glad I tried this place! The tacos were very tasty. I got the chipotle shrimp tacos with mango & cilantro on corn tortillas. It was such a wonderful combination of flavours - it tasted like I was eating at a high-end restaurant for low-key prices. I was pleasantly surprised. My friend got the mahi-mahi tacos and loved... For a birthday celebratory dinner, my daughter choose Tarascas. A great choice. We sat outside by the street on a beautiful evening which added to the ambiance. Our food was very good, service was timely even though the restaurant was lively. I don't do tequila but from observing the surrounding tables it certainly was popular. Even with numerous dining options... More

We started outside but some rain drops make us go inside. Everything was moved by the staff, that was great as we were with some kids. Food was great with a wide choice of typical Mexican dishes. You must go back there several times in order to discover the whole menu!!

Service here is very friendly and sitting out on the patio on a nice evening is great. For food, all of the classics are there: tacos, burritos, enchiladas, etc. plus some additional specials. Unfortunately, the food is only okay. Not bad, but not really good either. They also really seem to push the drinks more than the food and the... More

I went here with my close friend for my birthday and couldn't be happier. Although very busy (good for the restaurant), the short wait was worth it. We got a variety of menu items and went all out. I like the house burrito and had some of the fajitas and chimichangas too! Did I mention good chips and salsa (don't... More

Mexican restaurants abound in Chicago. If you were on a 100% south-of-the-border diet, you need only walk 15 minutes in any direction before happening upon your vittles of choice, even in Lincoln Park. Quantity does not equal quality though and sometimes you just have to elevate your palate. If you have an urge to satisfy your Mexican-tooth, try Tarascas, a... More

Walked into this place for it was dinner time and we were on Clark looking for a restaurant. The menu was intriguing and decided to stop in. The chips are greasy and the salsa is served in to go containers though you are dining in. WHY? The portions were a good sized, but a bit tasteless. It's a shame for... More

Restaurant is quite loud because is always full at rush hour and tables are very close each other, but food is very good. I had a burrito tarasco, very delicious. Service is fast. If the restaurant is full of people it must be a good reason, don't you agree? I had to wait for 10 minutes for a table but food... More

Gave this restaurant three visits. All visits were average at best. The restaurant is clean, but the tables are too close together. Not much walking room. Two of the visits were on a Sunday afternoon. We got the same waitress on both Sundays. She was moody and unpleasant. On both Sundays there were only 2 other tables occupied, so it... More

The best thing about this place is the food. Although it is overpriced for quantity and quality. The tables are small and very close together. The service is fair.
