Frances’ is a cute breakfast-brunch-lunch spot offering a good selection of sweet and savory options. I prefer savory breakfasts and really enjoyed my breakfast burrito. It was generously sized and came stuffed with cheesy hash browns, three different kinds of peppers, onions and homemade turkey...sausage in a tomato tortilla. Homemade pork or chicken sausage are also options. It set me up really well for a full day of walking! Our server was very attentive and made sure we had what we needed.More

Looking for an upscale breakfast experience? Frances' Deli and Brunchery in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood has been providing them for 83 years. Located at 2552 North Clark Street, Frances' Deli is open from 9 to 3 daily and offers breakfast, brunch and lunch fare. But...breakfast is the big seller. How about a Great Since '38 Breakfast, two scrambled eggs, sausage and an English muffin? Or three cinnamon rolls, cinnamon swirled buttermilk batter pancakes with cream cheese glazed icing topped with home-made maple butter? My wife's favorite breakfast treat is Belgian waffles and Francis' version is a keeper with blueberry batter and topped with fresh berries and home-made maple butter. I'm partial to the strawberry shortcake French toast, a brioche dipped in home-made strawberry infused batter and topped with fresh strawberries and home-made maple butter with cheesy hashbrowns. Don't forget lunch. Try a bowl of chicken soup with noodles and a turkey Reuben sandwich, real roasted turkey, Swiss cheese, 1,000 Island dressing and cole slaw on sourdough bread with a kosher pickle and potato salad. Or a Reuben sandwich with home-made corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and 1,000 Island dressing on grilled rye. Anyone who has been in business since Dizzy Dean and Gabby Hartnett and Phil Cavarretta were playing for the Chicago Cubs must know their way around a kitchen.More

You could do a whole of worse than France‘a especially for the area. On a Sunday morning the parking was free & the owner & staff assured I was satisfied.

Stopped in for a bite and have leftovers for two more meals. We ordered a tuna melt, turkey sandwich (fresh turkey), soup, and onion rings. All were very good. Our server, Nicola, worked her butt off and gave us excellent service.

This is our third time coming here when visiting Chicago. Well worth the bus trip up from Downtown. Local flavor, but staff is always cordial and accomodating. The corned beef hash is wonderful. Their Bloody Mary's look amazing, though we didn't try one on a...Sunday morning recent visit.More

LOVE THIS PLACE. The atmosphere is so cute and the staff are wonderful. Food is AMAZING. Some of the brunch/lunch dishes come with a small side of coleslaw and it's the best I've ever had. Definitely try their mimosas.

Food was ok. Order came out wrong-missing items. The hostess told us 15 minute wait. 45 minutes later we got seated after being told to go wait outside when we questioned how long the wait remaining would be. Lot of attitude. Wont be back.
