We had been to Boka a couple of times before and loved the food. We decided to take my sister and her husband there before our Steppenwolf performance. (We were able to use their valet parking through the end of the play - very convenient.) The roasted Spanish octopus was tender and quite good. The Broccoli Agnolotti had a depth... More

Coming to Chicago from Australia it's always great to discovery a fine dining restaurant that is equal to anywhere in the world. Not knowing much about Boka we thought we would give it a go, the ambiance is delightful, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is just amazing. The wine list is made up mainly from local... More

Bravo! Well done, BOKA! One look at the walls of the atrium / garden dining area and you will know that there are some very creative minds at work here. The food more than delivers on that expectation. Portions are perfect. You can order appetizers and main-courses w/o fear of wasting food or being hungry. The tastes and quality of... More

The food itself was excellent -- top quality ingredients properly prepared, properly presented and having wonderful flavors. HOWEVER, the portions are really tiny (my order of short ribs had only 2 small bones) and the prices are very high. The wine prices are even higher! If you are looking for excellent food and you have so much money that you... More

Heard this was a fantastic place to eat. I am more of a traditionalist and eclectic cuisine is not my 1st choice. Although the restaurant is very pretty on th inside, their menu is a bit more imaginative than i care for. The presentation of the food is beautiful, it is quality over quantity. Seafood was good but not magnificent,... More

We were not super hungry, so decided to skip the entree and make a meal of 2 appetizer courses and dessert. I had their aged beef tartare followed by a cabbage and gnudi dish. My dinner companion was vegetarian, and she had heirloom carrots followed by a pasta dish. Boka does not have many options for vegetarians. For dessert I... More

Named one of Food & Wine magazine’s “Best New Chefs 2008,” Executive Chef Giuseppe Tentori features contemporary, seasonal American food. The Michelin Dining Guide recently awarded BOKA one star and the Chicago Tribune gave three, calling it “One of the city’s best.” Chicago magazine awarded three stars as well and has called it “The hottest ticket in town.” Chef Tentori was named a rising star by both Star Chefs and Restaurant Hospitality magazine, and BOKA was awarded the 4 Diamond AAA in 2009. A great spot for wedding receptions, corporate meetings, pharmaceutical dinners and cocktail parties, the space allows for private parties in a variety of rooms both private and semi private. The restaurant was designed by Bogdanow Partners and features sweeping architectural sails and a stunning 90 seat outdoor patio.
