I was hoping for something a little different. I wouldn't advise going with a big group as this is a small establishment and we had quite a wait to get a group of tables to accommodate us. There was a considerable wait once our order was in as well, you would have thought it was a deep dish place. I... More

Came with three friends last night, great food, service and beer. Highly recommend. Looks a bit freaky walking down the side alley to the place, but once inside it was fantastic. Could do with maybe a few more people working, looked a little understaffed.

Great, thin crust (and I mean really, really thin crust) pizza. The restaurant is located sort of in a basement off the sidewalk of Lincoln Avenue. Go down the steps and into a dimly lit bar and restaurant. Your first thought is that you're in one of Chicago's old speakeasys. Great atmosphere, and food is outstanding. They have specialty pizzas... More

We were looking for a good thin crust pizza place in Chicago (deep dish country!), saw this place and decided to stop in. I like to try the specials of each restaurant so went with the Brickhouse pizza. It had red peppers, artichokes, and two cheeses. I'm pretty picky when it comes to pizza and it definitely delivered. The crust... More

We dropped in here for a meal on the strength of other Tripadvisor reviews. It was excellent. Friendly service and the best pizzas with a great choice. Really good value for money.

We were recommended to try out this Pizza place by our Air bnb host, and we were not disappointed. At first I thought we were in the wrong place as you walk down some stairs into a dark passage way, but don't be discouraged. It is an underground restaurant. We ordered a Pizza to share, and it was delicious. Staff... More

Living in the neighborhood, I don't know what took us so long to try Bricks. But now that we've been there, we'll definitely go back. The restaurant is situated in a cool underground setting with a long bar on one side of a brick and stone room with pass through openings that makes it feel like a Speakeasy during Prohibition.... Cool looking basement bar and pizza restaurant. Small, dark and intimate. But ok for families as well.

Service was surprisingly slow for just after 5 pm. Only one person waiting tables and there were only a couple empty tables. The pizza was OK. Approx $28 for 3 10" pizzas. Not deep dish, thin crust. Interesting atmosphere.

Thank Chris Z
