Absolutely love the quality of the food at Erie Cafe. Must have dishes: filet mignon, mussels marinara, shrimp cocktail, grilled shrimp. Their side salads come with any entree and the house dressing makes for a simple green salad. The best thing about this place is the patio in the summer. Overlooks the river.

We had a very enjoyable experience here last weekend. Table of six including four teenaged boys and everyone was sated, happy and glad we had chosen Erie Café. Chicken Vesuvio and Parm were excellent, as were spaghetti and meatballs, and huge portions! They make a great Manhattan and have a strong list of wines by the glass. Atmosphere was busy... More

This is old school! We loved it! The portions were large. The food was tasty. Not a bad dish at our table. The filet was well prepared. I had a taste. My sea bass was amazing and I was shocked at the generous portion size. Service was excellent.

A client asked to meet me there recently and candidly, i didn't know much about it outside of the steak commercials they used to run on TV. Free valet parking, professional reception at the door and excellent wait staff and kitchen sums it up for me. The price was reasonable and the atmosphere extremely business discussion friendly. Definitely will visit... More

I come here often for business lunch or dinner in the summer they have a great River front patio bar and dining. They have a prime rib special that i call the Flintstone special it is huge and over flows the plate a challenge. The garbage salad can be a meal in itself, nuff said there. Great place for meetings... More

This steakhouse offers large portions, whether you order steak, fish or chicken. Cottage fries and salad come with each entree. Large dining area, including a room for private parties. Outdoor patio seating during the summer. Regular and valet parking available.

Cool location, close to everything in River North, - the service was great, the food was so delicious, esp the bone in rib-eye, tiramisu, and cabernet. Very family friendly too.

My wife and daughter met me in Chicago and after a long trip from the uk they needed good food and quick service and this was near the apartment we were staying. Food was very good, service excellent and had no good choice of wine. We has steaks as mains which were all good. Not cheap but just what they... More

From the time we walked in he door we were treated like family. Our table was ready immediately and the excellent service began. The attentive, but not hovering, waiters were great. I had the chicken parmesan and my wife had the veal chop. The portions were immense and the sauce on mine was not too sweet with great tomato flavor.... More

There was a time when a steak & chop house was a place of cigars, spirits and meat. Most of that history lives on at The Erie Cafe. However smoke-free the large (kind of exciting) dining room is, the Oysters Rockefeller and Martinis, Manhattans and Jack on the Rocks live on and quite well at that. Aged cuts of beef,... More
