The main reason that I rated this restaurant excellent is due to its top floor lakefront unobstructed view at the corner tables. The food is very good, and the service is fine. Also the prices are reasonable for the location at a fancy mall. I signed up for their coupons so it is even more of a value. They also... More

The food here is good. Tried their pad thai which was good, but I've had better. Their curry fried rice is amongst the best I've tasted. Didn't get a chance to try the red curry which looked great. The service was lacking. The gentleman at the door showed us to our table, left our menus there and walked away before... More

The menu has offerings from the various Asian cuisines. The lunch buffet is also not just Thai food. While there are many options, the food quality is not consistent. My first time there, I thought the food was great. My second time, though, made me feel nauseated (the food was cold and soggy). The service has been pretty consistent--overall above... More

We expected Thai food, but this restaurant had Chinese and Japanese food, too. We opted for Chinese, and it was pretty good. The quality of the ingredients was great. Our choices seemed a little bland, but I'm sure other dishes may have been spicer. The service was great. It is the perfect choice if you want a variety of Asian... More

Baisi Thai is located in a high-end mall on North Michigan Avenue. Every entree is cooked to order and almost big enough to serve two. The service is always friendly. I like the Basil Chicken made with spicy red peppers and fresh basil leaves. I've never had drinks here, but the tiny bar area always seems to be crowded after... More

I stopped in for a quick nosh while on a long walking/shopping trip. I was expecting traditional Thai cuisine, but the menu span the Asian globe, including sushi. I am skeptical of restaurants that can't just stick to one cuisine. I ordered a curry fried rice, which was very large, enough for 2 meals, which made it a bargain. Service... More

Wanted to stop somewhere close to our hotel. This place offers many options for food. Ordered the spring rolls and they were good, not what I expected. The dish I got was great! Wish the portions were a little bigger. My daughters loved their sushi and bubble tea. Glad we found this place and made it before it closed.

I love Thai food and ever since moving to CA, I've missed the yummy Thai food you can find on every other street. This place has good portions and great use of lime and spice. I like the strong flavors and quickness of service. They have very solid pad thai and pad see ew. They have introduced a lot of... More

Baisi Thai is a great find, great food, budget pricing and pleasant customer service. The environment was pleasing for a small group or intimate outing for two. We were able to laugh and socialize without being settled down. Definitely going back and grabbed a few entrees to go!

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
