Staff was friendly, attentive and efficient. Balcony seating was very pleasant on a lovely evening. Meal was interesting and tasty, especially the side of flavorful, roasted eggplant. My companion had the ice cream with mango for dessert. I did have a bite or two and found the ice cream to be rich and creamy and the mango perfectly ripened. All... More

Very high quality vietnamese food here (and I should know as I'm Vietnamese). Not a cheap place but you will not be disappointed. Booking is essential

One is transformed to Vietnam in this authentic, classy restaurant. There is a vast and diversified menu served by expert staff. A bit of a high ticket, but worth it.

Dined here with my adult daughters. We had a variety of seafood dishes as well as spring rolls and pho. Wine and drinks were good. Service excellent and we didn't feel rushed. Would recommend.

We'd not been in a while and decided to return, without reservations, and were warmly welcomed. The restaurant is still beautiful, clean, the staff friendly, and the food incredible. We'll surely return again soon!

This is my favorite when I visit Chicago. Had another superb meal last weekend with my girlfriend and two college buddies I had not seen in 25 years. The food and wine were great and the bar upstairs was a fine way to begin the evening. We will be back again!

As someone who loves Vietnamese food I wasn't disappointed. Moreover, I'm a coeliac and was exceptional pleased to have a gluten free menu with a good selection of choices. Having visited Vietnam I can say that the food was authentic and as good as the streets of Hannoi. My only slight niggle was the darkness of the restaurant. After a... More

What a jewel! Crowded but not packed, this restaurant was busy for a late Friday lunch. I had chicken soup, sup ga, with sliced baby corn and cilantro (wonderful) and a crab and artichoke salad, goi atiso. The salad was nothing like I expected- warm, not cold- but very tasty. The grilled salmon over vermicelli was also delicious, as were... More

This restaurant was recommended by the birthday girl's daughter as I was visiting from out of town. Excellent choice. The food and service and attention to making the whole dinner perfect was great. I would highly recommend it

I always love the French Colonial atmosphere. Very relaxed and elegant space with tasty food and cocktails. Space has great ambiance and is not very loud. The tables upstairs in the balcony are great weather permitting. Service is on point and not rushed.

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighborhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
