Very good first visit. The Arctic Char was great! Crispy Asparagus. Very attentive service. The maki a bit on the pricy side though. Recommended.

Visited Nomi rooftop twice. Once for brunch. You can ask to sit in the sun or the shade. Great drinks, great food. Prices are a little steep but it's worth it. Went back for drinks on the rooftop at night. Get a high top table and you will have a nice view of the city.

We went for brunch on Sunday. We arrived at 1130 as the Garden was opening. Our order was taken pretty quickly and the Bloody Mary's arrived promptly. However, we were confused that by 1220 our food had not arrived whilst the food of tables arriving well after us had been delivered. I had a conversation with our waiter who said... More

Excellent sushi and love the patio!!! We have gone several times for lunch, drinks, dinner or just a snack. The sushi is very fresh and always delicious. We have had dinner inside which offers an perfect view of the city. The service is attentive and they offer a nice wine list.

This restaurant is located in the Park Hyatt hotel on the Magnificent Mile (that will give you an idea of prices). The outside seating is quite nice and we had cocktails before going inside for dinner. Tuesday evening in June the restaurant was not crowded at all and we were given a window table. Service was excellent. Martinis were excellent.... More

I truly love breakfast here, solo on business or with family. From the first rate greeting upon arrival to views of Michigan Avenue and Water Tower, a treat. Food and service excellent. Lunch has excellent wine choices if you can relax and again, excellent food and service from a top rate staff!

I was staying at the Park Hyatt, so it wasn't a stretch to venture to NoMi for a meal. (I had originally made a reservation for lunch; however, opted for breakfast instead, given that it was complimentary). Despite some negative comments about staff inattentiveness, that was not my experience. The hostess greeted me promptly and seated me by the window.... More

We were staying at the Park Hyatt and were eager to try NoMI. The restaurant and view are beautiful with elegant ambiance. In hindsight, I wish we would've chose something other than sushi to eat. It was mediocre. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't memorable or notable. The service was prompt, polite and professional but a bit cold. I'm glad... More

Place is beautiful. Food was great. All but one staff member was terrific...but...we got our typical cocktails in the fancy crystal glasses. Now mind this place isn't exactly cheap. One of our drinks was in a chipped and cracked glass. We asked for it to be changed and our wait staff were happy to oblige. I have to say the... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
