We remember the delicious leg of lamb on our last visit to Chicago. However, this time it had no taste at all. The service was excellent and friendly, but the food a disappointment.

Traveling Chicago, we decided to try their Greek food. Besides SanFrancisco, we have not found many good Greek restaurants. This down home Greek venue was very good. The service by George and the team was excellent. Whatever we wanted he did! We ordered the grilled octopus as an appetizer and it was cooked tender with very good extra virgin olive... More

Traditional Greek food in the heart of Greek town. Nice fresh whole fish flown in daily. All of the standards as well. We went after a performance at the Lyric Opera. They are open late and have free valet parking. Prices are reasonable. People seem to love it or hate it. There are many restaurants to choose from, but I've... More

This is so hard to rate! I've been here many times and had a great time. The food is tasty, the decor is cozy, alcohol is strong, and the waiters attentive. For those experiences I'd easily give them 4 stars. I have, however, heard many stories about people who aren't white/Greek being treated subpar. I always brushed the comments aside... More

Everything we've eaten has been fantastic. They even handle our crazy kid requests. They are quick to seat and quick to serve. Call ahead and get on the list for a no wait and free valet parking.

Having tried Greek food in other places like Tarpon Springs, FL and some fast food joints, I'm glad I tried the Greek Island Restaurant. The free parking was what actually made us choose it against all other choices in the Chicago Greek area. For appetizers: the flaming saganaki & grilled octopus. For our entree: codfish, the keftedes & mousaka combo,... More

I'm 100% Greek and if I'm not cooking the food I generally avoid Greek Food because it almost always fails. But not here, the food is FABULOUS and authentic. Once you walked through those doors, you are no longer in Chicago, but in Greece somewhere having a fresh, mouth watering meal. There were four of us for dinner. We decided... More

The staff was wonderful....and food was FANTASTIC!....the valet parking is a plus! Our waiter was very attentive and provided answers for the questions we had regarding defining the various Greek items shown on the menu...he was a very pleasant person (and patient)...also, a young man assisted in helping box up out leftovers...he was very nice, as well....overall, we ALL enjoyed...
