Very cool indoor/outdoor seating areas where the cocktails are very well done and the drink menu is super extensive....great bourbon/scotch and beer menu. Food is very progressive farm to table cuisine. Worth a try while in downtown Chicago!

So, we get in to Chicago a little before 11:00 at night and we're hungry. Our friends say meet us at a pub in Logan Circle. Perfect, a burger and a beer we think. Well, yes it's a pub, but we weren't expecting the absolute world-class pub food. Since it was late I ordered two small plates rather than en... More

If you are not adventurous or are looking for dinner on the cheap, stay away. We shared 3 appetizers, all delicious. The pork belly with banana and plantains was my favorite but everyone else liked the octopus better. The entrees were phenomenal! If you like whiskey there are too many to try even if you go everyday!

We stopped by in the middle of the day and grabbed a seat at the bar. The place was fairly quiet when we were there and the bartender was very friendly. We planned on only getting one drink since it was so early in the afternoon but the drink menu had so many good options we had to get another... More

The menu is a little on the "exotic" side with a lot of organ meats and a drink menu heavily laden with whiskey cocktails, but we are game for an adventure and happy to let a talented chef take us on a journey. The prices are very reasonable for the level of food, we only had a 20 minute wait... More

Nowadays, to me, when the word 'Brunch' was mentioned. Unremarkable, commonplace and very often 'boring' dishes like Eggs Benedict, French Toast, Smoked salmon and cream cheese on toasted bagel, Belgian waffles....etc immediately comes to mind. Therefore, our visit to L&E and seeing a brunch menu that offered sophisticated and saliva inducing creations, sans afore-mentioned mediocrity, was a welcoming eye-opener. Think:... More

Excellent brunch spot with many options beyond your typical brunch in a great atmosphere with outside seating available.

Not sure why we go back to L&E, with so many other options these days, I guess we just needed to confirm what we though from the last time we dined there. No reservations is annoying, drinks are strong which I Iike although average and over priced. Food is salty, maybe the chef or cook is a smoker and can't... More

Located in Logan commons area. Unique offerings on the breakfast menu. I had a beef shank with misc veggies and an egg on the top of the beef. What a sauce and taste. We also started with Challah French Toast as we couldn't narrow the choices down to three for the three of us. The Quiche was great. Slow roasted... More

The reason I didn't give this place a 5 star rating is because we had to wait 45 minutes for a table and then another 45 minutes for our food once we sat down. I was hungry when we first arrived so I was hangry by the time we actually ate! The food was delicious though so plan ahead!
