This was my second time having dinner and drinks at Longman and Eagle and both times were fantastic. While the food is upscale the atmosphere is casual enough to let you be relaxed and not feel stuffy. You don't need to dress up if you don't want. And you don't need to take out a second mortgage to pay for... More

We visited Longman & Eagle on Saturday evening. They do not take reservations but have a very fun & hip bar area where we had drinks while we waited. Once we were seated, our server was very attentive and helped us with questions about the menu. The Burger was good, the Fried Chicken very tasty. Great dinner! There is a... More

I must say that I was a little surprised that this restaurant with a fairly nondescript exterior was so good with its food. It is a bar, but also a restaurant - perhaps a pub? No matter, there are very good chefs behind the scenes as they delivered a chicken roulade that was outstanding. We all enjoyed the cheese board... More

After hitting Delilahs for a couple of drinks, we went to L&E based on the recommendation of a friend. In a word "In-flipping-credible". This appears to be a good neighbor place with an excellent selection of whiskeys where your neighbors want to just hang around. Its a bit noisy, get over it. The food is a fantastic fusion of flavors... More

We went for brunch to longman and eagle Because is very popular in our neighborhood now. We went long ago, but decided to give it another try because it appears that Logan square is attracting a lot of tourists... The restaurant is just steps away from the blue line station, Logan square. We went a Sunday The wait was about... More

In addition to being a cool place to hang out (can't beat a 2 dollar pbr), the brunch we had was divine! Who would have thought that a southern gal would find the best grits ever in Chicago??? Great spot!

I was visiting a friend in Chicago and she took me to lunch at Longman & Eagle. It was incredible! Wonderful service, a amazing food and drinks. My friend had the Artichoke grilled cheese and I had the Cuban sandwich and both were delicious. We also ordered Bloody Mary's that were quite tasty. I highly recommend going here if you're... More

Our dinner last night at L&E was a bad experience and we won’t go back. I ordered the roasted cauliflower and requested the cucumber raita (it’s a sauce) on the side. When the food runner brought it to the table there was no sauce. As I started to say it was missing, the waiter came running over to tell me... More

OK, I chose this restaurant and expected to be blown away. I was not. The appetizers were very good. I had the beef tartare, which was fantastic. (Next time, I am going for the "duck in a jar."). Two of us had the fried chicken roulade, which I never need to eat again. Dessert was really good (can't remember what... More
