Wonderful neighborhood old school Italian. It was our first time at Club Lucky, but it definitely won't be our last. Great service by Eugene (Geno) as we named him :). The food was outstanding and we had a beautiful bottle of Italian Red wine to...compliment our entrees. Desserts were a wonderful way to end the meal. I highly recommend Club Lucky.More

My wife and I have been going to Club Lucky since our first date on Halloween of 2009, and we've been back many times since, including every year to celebrate the anniversary of that first date. I'm vegetarian, and there are plenty of different vegetarian...options here, including the Homemade Lasagna (cheese, or Bolognese). This is one of my favorite Italian dishes, but cheese lasagna can be tough to find on a lot of Italian restaurant menus these days. We've tried pretty much everything on the menu, and it's been mostly excellent, but some of our favorites include, the Stuffed Artichoke, Baked Little Neck Clams, Mozzarella Fritti, Traditional Pasta Squares, Linguini with Fresh Manila Clams, Homemade 8 Finger Cavatelli. The service is always excellent. The waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the support staff is always quick to take finished plates away, fill up water glasses, and keep the table clean. The restaurant is not a huge space, so it's not always easy to walk in and get a table, especially on the weekend. Summer does get a bit easier, when it's warm enough for their outdoor seating, but reservations are the best bet. Club Lucky is located in the Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhood (literally, surrounded by houses), which is a really hip, fun part of Chicago and very walkable. Because it's part of a neighborhood, it can definitely be tricky to park. Some of the closest street parking is zoned for residents, but there's meter parking a block or two west, closer to Damen, or just a couple of blocks to the south on North Avenue. As an alternative to fighting for a spot, the restaurant does have valet parking. This place serves classic Italian food, and has remained consistently good over the years. They have tons of options on the menu, great service, and a really cool atmosphere. Club Lucky is an excellent spot for a date, a meal with friends, or even Sunday family dinner.More

Food is good solid italian american. Big portions. Lots of calories. No diet options here. I had calamari (big and tender) chicken vesuvio (bony, not much meat). Superior bread. Decent wine. Dark dining room. Very difficult if you are over 50 and wearing glasses. Unpleasant...reading a menu with a flashlight. Only that would prevent me from returning.More

We are here for dinner and got the lasagna and pasta primavera. The lasagna was a must, tasted just like you were at home. The primavera was ok to be honest but the lasagna was so good you could just tell their best dishes would...be good every time. The bread was fresh and the ginger carrot cake was exactly what I needed even though I don’t love carrot cake. Definitely check it out.More

This place has been consistently special since our 1st visit in 1995. We had fantastic service and outstanding meals for a family dinner. Fantastic veal and chicken dishes, and Club Lucky has not lost its touch on fabulous martinis. My wife and I dined here...often when we lived in Bucktown. Tonight we brought our kids for their first visit, and they raves about their meals.More

Found this on a recent trip to Chicago. Walked from our B&B in Wicker Park. Very good food. Fun bar playing 70's tunes. Had the vibe of a neighborhood hangout. Everybody seemed to know everybody. Good size portions. Wait staff eager to tell you about...the menu and their suggestions were spot-on. I'd go again just because it was fun, not to say the food isn't a good reason to return, too!More

Good food...nice waitress...but terrible host and support staff (bus boys, etc.)....made reservation but denied open booth when arrived. Very tight seating. Once servers decided we were "done" with dinner, we were harassed to leave. Of course plates cleared but also placemats ..all glasses .. .even...water..when they came three times to interrupt conversation by "wiping" the table where no spills were...host even came and grabbed a glass...we KNEW it was time to leave ...we had 6 cocktails, 2 salads and appetizers...and 4 entrees...not an inexpensive meal...but clearly not enough to rent the table for more than 2 hours.. Rude. Booth reservation policy not posted on website also an issue.More

Great meal and wonderful service from Eric and others. Not very crowded. Parking could be a problem in the evening. We shall return

Friday night, place is packed, got table somewhat timely then it went South. Horrible service from beginning to end. Had veal marsala and have had much better. Asked for half of it to be boxed up. Opened the box the next day and it was...a left over salad. I will never go back.More

My wife and I finally had dinner here. Been here twice but while on the prohibition tour, so it was for drinks only. Corner place right smack dab in the bucktown neighborhood. Wife had the eggplant parmesan and the the filet pizzaiola was screaming my...name. Wife's dish was layered with fresh eggplant. My 2 medallions were cooked perfect along with the fresh spaghetti pasta on the side, drizzled with olive oil and roasted garlic. If you want out of the bustle of the city, come to this place. It won't disappoint!More
