We had 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner here. The first breakfast was light and basic (but good) and the second one was a full breakfast which was excellent. Highly recommend the quinoa breakfast bowl (amazing!). Our dinner was also very good and nicely presented. We lucked out on the MOnday night 1/2 price bottles of wine. Our server was also... More

My first choice for a business dinner was not available so I took my client to SWK. It turned out to be an excellent choice. Comfort food with a modern twist in a warm, inviting setting. The service was informative but not intrusive and the prix fixe menu had good choices. The restaurant was relatively quiet [a Wednesday night] and... More

Thanks for your review Jane. I'm happy to see you got to experience our prix fixe menu. It's such a great deal and I personally love utilizing it. Also, I'm sorry about the valet. They're suppose to park all cars for us so my apologies for you running into that issue. Come by and see us again soon for dinner.... More

We had a delightful lunch during our visit to the Loop area. We were hungry and needed to find a restaurant before our matinee. They had a creative, delicious menu and we were all satisfied. I had a turkey burger with cranberry compote that was delicious. It was exactly what I wanted on a cold afternoon. The service was very... More

Stopped in a place I had not been before for a quick steak. Service was attentive and price reasonable. One adult beverage and neglected to photo the New Your Strip. I did not care for the relish that was served with it, seemed odd. Overall it was good, but food I have had better.

Stopped in for dinner. Asked for and received a seat at the bar. Nicely appointed restaurant. Wait staff very friendly. Menu is limited in my opinion and priced a bit on the high side. I ordered the burger which when it came was quite large. The burger was a handmade burger cooked to order and delicious. A nice selection of... More

We got to the South Water Kitchen early in the evening as they were just opening for dinner. I had the deviled egg. It had interesting flavors, but it seemed a bit light on the food to charge that much ($8) for what is really just one egg. I had the duck which was perfectly cooked and really flavorful. We... We ate breakfast twice during our stay at the Monaco. Food was tasty and reasonably priced, staff was friendly and service was efficient.

We hadn't booked, but there were plenty of empty tables even though it was Saturday night. Some of the empty tables had not been cleared. Service was OK-ish, but not great. Similarly the food. It was OK-ish, but not great. The portion of salmon from the entrees was large, but overcooked and dry. All our main courses were served on... More

Dined here for the first time last evening pre-concert with friends. I'm in Chicago often and have my favorites but decided to try something totally new and I'm glad we did. Truthfully I can't remember what my friends ordered but I did the $39 prix fixe dinner. I had the deviled eggs appy, duck breast and bourbon sauced bread pudding... More

Thanks for your feedback! I'm so glad that you and your friends enjoyed yourselves during dinner. With the prixe fixe deviled eggs, I couldn't agree more. I think it should be at least 3 pieces which would fill the plate a bit more and be more aesthetically pleasing. I'll push that over to our head chef. Next time you're in... More
