First time i came to Chicago was 12 years ago! The one single thing I remembered the best was Deep-dish Pizza from Pizzeria Due! When I now traveled back to Chicago, the first thing I did was to track down this place and put it on the top of "the to do list". I was a little bit nervous that... More

Being in Chicago - we just had to try deep dish pizza! Had a few appetizers to start, & split a medium pizza for 4 of us! Very filling indeed! We were able to sit outside & enjoy the warm evening & people watch!

So this is not pizza. It's more like a quiche with sausages and huge amounts of mozzarella. But they are extremely proud of it and sell it like it is a great discovery and a tradition in plastic plates that bear the mark of a lot of usage the same way as they serve beer in plastic glasses. So it's... More

My first visit to Due was over 30 years ago now and still ranks as my favorite. Noticed that the cornmeal crust this visit was lacking but otherwise pleased with cheese, sausage, spinach. It is not for everyone-the sausage is quite garlicky and plentiful so if you're not a fan of garlic, recommend going elsewhere. Restaurant small and still looks... More

We choose Pizzeria Duo because it was close to our hotel and we did not want to be out late. The restaurant was crowded but wait time was about 30 minutes only. You had the choice to pre-order so you can get served faster. We ordered the Pizza Uno. The pizza was terrible, probably worse than frozen. I'm not sure... More

This was the first time I tried Chicago style deep dish pizza, but most probably the last one too. If you prefer thin-crusted pizza and traditional Italian cuisine, you should avoid these restaurants and visit Eataly instead. The place was crowded when we went there, so the service was slow but very friendly. The local IPA was the best part... More

Have been to a Chicago many times and always enjoy a classic pie. This time we elected to try one of the lessor known restaurants and we didn't go away disappointed. We were able to get in on a Saturday night with only a 30 minute wait. The pizza was fantastic and the Caesar salad was not only huge, it... More

A classic Chicago pizza staple. There is thick cheese and tasty crust. Takes 30-40 minutes to cook. Great old Chicago pizzeria ambiance.

Popped in to try their famous deep dish pizza It was 10.30pm - they tell you that the deep dish pizza takes up to 40mins - but hey if you are on vacation - order a beer and some dips or garlic bread and the time passes really fast Had the barbecue chicken - a small one between the two... More

I have had deep dish pizza a couple of times in Chicago and this was by far my favourite experience taste wise. My boyfriend and I went out on a limb and tried the BBQ chicken deep dish. We ordered a small pizza (definitely enough for two pizzas) and didn't indulge in salad or appetisers beforehand and were stuffed by... More
