This is off the beaten path and is a great place to go to get off the Mag Mile. The open kitchen provides a peek into the lives of the chefs. The service was excellent and the food superb. The Italian wine list is extensive.

The menu is well versed, the staff is attentive and knowledgable, and the vino is superb. The kale salad and chickpea soup are delicious. The homemade ravioli is also exquisite. It is pricey for the amount of food--a true city ristorante.

Ever since a friendly waiter at a new Italian restaurant in Sarasota, Florida, recommended a Mediterranean sea bass called Branzino, I have been caught--hook, line and sinker. Trouble is, I haven't had much luck in finding it on other menus at other restaurants. Until now....More

Went for 60th birthday celebration, visiting our son in Chicago from Pittsburgh. Had a reservation. Offered table pressed against waiter service shelves filled with dishes; asked for better table and given one by window. Waiter was abrupt; hurrying; raised brows when we asked for more...More
