Had dinner here with three other friends on a Tuesday night. Service was wonderful, and atmosphere great. Largish space, but private feeling. Music was great, but did not overcome our conversation by any means. The food was well worth the price. All four of us...agreed that our dishes were the best--so I can recommend those dishes: one had the Macho Salad and swore by it, two had the salmon and almost licked their plates clean, and I had the Ahi Tuna and everything on that plate was outstanding. Please go and try. Hint: I recommend putting in reservations for the best experience.More

My husband and I stopped there for a quick lunch. It is a very nice restaurant with a very relaxing atmosphere. The service was excellent, we received great advice and detailed information on the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious, including my margarita. The French...dip is a mustMore

I haven’t been posting for a while but after having had dinner at Bandera (again) I felt like I needed to. Such a chill space. Cool vibe. Excellent food, cocktails and service. I try to stop here at least once during the week when I...travel for business, but the fact that locals use it as a gathering spot says it all. I am partial to the pork chops but the entire menu is solid. If you are close, check it out.More

Amazing service and ambiance. Jazz band sat behind us and we didn’t find it to be too loud. Spinach dip to start was very good. Ordered ribs and tuna steaks which were very flavorful with the coleslaw on the side and fries. I like that...she offered spicy may as well. Drinks were pretty good too. Only complaint is how quickly they brought the food and didn’t give us too much time to sit there and really enjoy it as much as we would have, we also had a really late lunch so weren’t super hungry. I liked the din lighting and candle at the tables also. I would definitely go back.More

Dinner out on business trip. Amazing atmosphere. The live jazz makes you want to stay all night. Shrimp cocktail is large and full of flavor. Had the salad with rotisserie chicken. Great taste and so much within it. Good place to go out to dinner...when you want music and good food and fun crowd. The service team is welcoming and attentive as well.More

I was at bandera for lunch and my friend and I had a great experience. We orderded the famous Macho salad, Ribs, and Corn bread. The macho salad was full of flavor with a great mix of vegetables, cheeses, corn bread etc. One of the...best salad I ever had. The corn bread was awesome, warm with the perfect sweetness. The ribs were cooked to perfeccion, very tender and full of flavor. Service was solid and the ambience was intimate, nice lighting. Like the place a lot.More

Love the jazz and the overall feel of the restaurant. Lively but not so over the top loud that you can't enjoy the experience. Service is excellent. A vegetarian option does need to be added other than the veggie burger, which was lackluster. Even die...hard meat eaters have friends/family that are vegetarians. Enjoyable place and a great location. Not living in Chicago this is one of the restaurants that I typically visit when visiting.More

Our party of four had terrible food. Poor quality prime rib--full of gristle and fat--(comped). Cold french fries (replaced) with "Famous French Dip"--also full of fat. Mashed potatoes so salty as to be inedible served with the cod! Entree salad seemed to be ok. Server...was very apologetic and strived to help with the various problems, but you can't replace bad food!More

Here on a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed. 90 minute wait for table but found a spot at the bar which was terrific. Bartender was excellent. Ordered the cornbread and spinach and artichoke dip which were both excellent. This restaurant is known for...their rotisserie chicken. Didn’t have room for that big a meal so went with the Macha Salad which has chicken on it. Delicious. Really loved the restaurant and the vibe. Great location on Magnificent Mile. Looking forward to returning.More

Always known it as Banderas. And amazed that it's not easy to find on street level considering you have to go up an escalator to get there, however, it's been forever successful.
