I was in Chicago for a conference and we wanted steak. Searched a few sites and found Wildfire - Chicago. Quick cab ride from the Hilton on South Michigan Ave. Had a reservation so got right to our table. Our server was very helpful with menu selections - there is quite a lot to choose from. Note - the salads... More

This was our first meal this trip to Chicago and it was great. One of us had a burger which was amazing and the fish was spectacular. Service was excellent. The room is old school steakhouse with lots of wood and black and white photos and the experienced matched that tradition. Highly recommended.

After the Chicago Marathon, my friends and I were looking to replenish calories lost completing a 26.2 mile run. Wildfire was the chosen destination. Since steak, prime ribs and chops seemed to be their specialty, they did not have a wide variety of food choices, so I opted for 2 appetizers, bacon wrapped shrimp, crab cakes & a sweet potato.... My company held a meeting in Chicago, and held a group dinner at Wildfire. The service was very good - our private room was well staffed to take care of our 50 people, and the food was great. We had a family style/sharing menu, and there was something for everyone. The chopped salad was very good - almost a meal... More

The food here (a steak, prime rib and chop place) was fine, and the service was good. However, it is a bit pricey and the place is a big noisy, open space, lacking in intimacy, charm and table cloths. Surprised to see how highly ranked it is among Chicago restaurants.

Loved this place with 1940s atmosphere. The food was good and the service was friendly. Quite relaxed place after a hard day's work.

Let me make it clear that the food here is very good and the service is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Its just that all the offering are fairly basic and you are not going to have a raving taste extravaganza. I guess the word to use is "solid". If you like a well prepared basic lamb chop, steak, or pork... More

Our food was ok, nothing spectacular. Our waiter wasn't very attentive and we had to call him over to our table twice. The table next to us had the same experience. Nothing special here.

Came here on a Tuesday night and the place was still 3/4 full. I had the grilled pork chops and my dining partner had baked trout with lump crabmeat. Delicious! We were both so full from the entrees, fresh baked bread and two sides that we didn't have room for dessert. May be next time.
