The food exceeded expectations. I'm a vegan and my girlfriend is not and despite the diner being meat free we both loved our meals so much, we ate there three days in a row and if given the chance would go back in a heartbeat. Expect big portions and reasonable prices. Located in a good area and they have their... More

Being a vegetarian who loves Chicago, I want to also love The Chicago Diner, but my two trips there so far leave me a bit uncertain. The diner has been crowded and loud both times we've been there, although we only had to wait in their back tent the second time we visited. Sitting in a booth is highly preferable;... More

I was very pleased with my dish a Mexican dish with quinoa and vegan sour cream on the side. I ate every bite so light and tasty! For desert I tried the vegan turtle cheese cake I found it to taste strange a weird savory aftertaste when I really wanted sweet so maybe think twice about the cheesecake. Service was... More

Since we live over two hours away, eating here is always a treat. Each time we go, we have an old favorite but we also try to have at least one different item. Over the last couple of years, we've been here many time and we've never been disappointed! The staff also contributes to a positive experience.

Went to this diner with my daughters Vegan friend Ros. It was me, my 8 yr old nephew Jai, my daughter and Ros. We had to take 2 trains from Michigan Ave(Columbia College) to get there(and my nephew barely made it)- we had been up since 345am and it was headed on 7p. I felt sorry for him, but he... More

Who knew this vegan diner would be so great? This was so amazing. The vegan Reuben was out of this world. Great menus selection. Friendly staff. Located on the fringes of Wrigleyville.

This place was so so amazing. We had spicy buffalo wings as an appetizer and fake chicken fried steak as entries. It was all amazing. They have every food I have missed as a vegetarian in vegetarian form! I will be back!

I was told it was famous. I was told it was worth the trouble. It was. Excellent in all regards. Well prepared meals from a extensive menu. Nice selection of cocktails and beers. Came back a second time

...if only we could have had a table in the restaurant and not in the back. It was a cold Chicago day and I was cold a little. However, our waiter made it up for us, very professional. The food is awesome, I wish we had something like this in Hungary. I had a black bean burger, the patty was... More
