A totally vegetarian restaurant serving an interesting selection of dishes. Tasty food and friendly service. It was good to have a whole menu to chose from rather than picking our way through a regular menu. Great desserts and milkshakes.

For over 15 years we have planned our trips to Chicago to arrive/depart at or near a meal time. Dinner on the way there, Breakfast or lunch before departing. We live 8 hours away. The Diner always provides top notch service with WONDERFUL food not available anywhere else. We even did a Thanksgiving dinner with our kids there one year.... More

We saw the sign for this restaurant on a building and decided to check it out. While we are not strict vegetarians, we enjoy eating meat-free. The menu was fascinating and creative. Portions substantial. Our waitress told us it was actually a vegan restaurant. The Radical Reuben really tasted like meat - but better. The lentil and mushroom loaf was... More

The food is great, and I highly recommend the reuben or gyro, but the real winners for me were the shakes. SO creamy and delicious!

Let me start off by saying that I worked in the restaurant industry for several years. Rarely do I rate restaurants poorly. However, our experience at Chicago Diner was less than desirable. The menu looks amazing! All of the food had our mouths watering. However, we went in in for a few shakes. We ordered our 5 shakes and sat... More

My son and his girlfriend require vegan/gluten free so we went here when we arrived in Chicago - they rated it the best restaurant they had been to! He had the Thai stir fry and she had the soul bowl and they both had vegan shakes. I, who normally am an omnivore, thought their quinoa chili was excellent.

It is wonderful to come to a place where the entire menu is available to vegetarians and everything is delicious! The wait staff is also friendly and helpful. We live in the southern suburbs so it is a hike for us but always worth the trip when we come. Save room for a shake if you can!

Ok, we love this place and I mean LOVE the place. We visit here whenever we are in Chicago (and a few times stopped here on the way to Madison (yeah a detour but worth it)). As vegans this place is terrific! We have also taken meat lovers here and they have really been impressed. As one of our carnivorous... More

I am very pleased with the quality of food. The bun of the sandwich is soft and fresh. The waffle cut fries is nicely seasoned, crispy and well cooked. All in all, the titanic burger is beautiful. The buffalo wings is nice but the ranch sauce is even better.

Cinnamon rolls are amazing! Good portions and fast, friendly service. Even non-vegetarians will love this place!
