This small deli on the north end of Andersonville is our go-to for cold or hot sandwiches. The Bulito (Cuban) is a fantastic pressed sandwich and you can't miss with a cup of minestrone or wedding soup to accompany it. The grocery section is well stocked with mostly Italian goodies and there is a nice selection of European jams. The owner, Mike, is very congenial and always open for suggestions.

Good sandwiches

Have tried many sandwiches and all are good tasting. One thing that is troublesome is that the sandwiches are not consistent. One time a large corned beef sandwich was two large sandwiches with lots of meat...the next time it was only one sandwich,,,and the last time it was two sandwiches with very little corned beef in them (1/2 the meat). Same price!! All tasted good, but you need to be able to expect consistency. Have heard that the soups are delicious. Price is reasonable

I stopped in today with my friend who wanted to bring some takeout soup home. She bought the Tuscan white bean soup and the minestrone. She immediately texted me after her husband ate the bean soup and couldn't stop raving. He is a foodie and not easily pleased. She thanked me for introducing her to it and will return. They have many homemade soups in the cooler for take out. Great sandwiches too. Try it.

owner has major anger mgmt issues. stay away! i was waiting outside bc he's not limiting amount of people in during C19 restrictions and that's all it took for him to lose his mind.

Great starting point for a picnic

One of the small delights of the far north side of Chicago is piatto pronto. Full of Italian specialties to assemble the perfect picnic by the lake or forest preserve. Get that special Italian ingredient for a nice dinner at home. It will be here ready for you to pick up and enjoy.

Exellent Sandwiches

Great recommendation by daughter who lives in Andersonville. My wife and I walked a great distance to this deli and were not disappointed. She had a couple of really good and fresh Italian sandwiches. The only drawback was no indoors seating. We ate on the benches in front of the deli.

This is our go-to place for carryout sandwiches. Great for Ravinia or lake-front picnics. Many imported specialty items and a deli with Boars Head meats.
