We drove over 100 miles round trip just to get subs for super bowl Sunday. This is the only Sunday they are open all year. It has become a tradition for us. We bring 5 subs back and it is a real treat for our...family. They vodka sauce is so tasty. Also their pizza bread is to die for. We had it for the first time today. Yummy. Their meatballs Are wonderful and you can’t make Them for the price they sell them for. We have heard their Wednesday only pot roast sandwich is to die for. Enjoy. This is a slice of Italian heaven.More

I have been a customer of The Original Nottoli & Son for several years but it never occurred to me that I should write a comment until recently when I had out of town guests. While in Chicago, they wished to visit a real Italian...deli. I guess Italian delis are hard to come by where they live. I immediately thought of Nottoli's. It was a wise decision. My guests were thrilled. Two of my guests had the Italian sub sandwich. Another had the pot-roast sandwich while the other had the meatloaf sandwich. My wife and I had our usual, the Italian sausage sandwich. Everyone enjoyed and left happy. My guests only regret was that they were returning home the next morning and wouldn't be able to come back to Nottoli's until the next trip. When the owner, George, heard my friends were from out of town, he came over to where we were sitting and made my guests feel most welcome. Naturally the bill was on me but even I was amassed how reasonable it was. For my wife and myself, The Original Nottoli & Son will continue to be our number one deli stop shop.More

I found The Original Nottoli & Son based on seeing them on Chicago’s Best. This was my second time here. Got the Italian Sub which was delicious. Great flavor for the sub, excellent bread. Picked up the garlic Italian and Hot Italian sausage for dinner....Another strong choice, mouthwatering, and delicious meal. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. Nottoli’s is definitely on my radar anytime I’m In the area. I need to keep a cooler in the car so I can stock up.l when I’m in the area.More

It was my first time visiting this location and I was so not disappointed! You walk in the restaurant and we’re immediately greeted by friendly smiles, welcomes and aromas. I decided to get a meatball sub and he got a beef and sausage combo. We...were not disappointed! Both were tasty and filling. We both agreed that we will go back next time I come back to the Chicago area.More

We drove 100 miles to go here for subs. All their food is fantastic. We ordered 80 3inch subs for between the church and reception the day of my daughter’s wedding. People loved the sandwiches. The first time my son in law took a bite...his exact words were “this is what a sub is supposed to taste like.” Super bowl Sunday is the only Sunday they are open. So we drove 100 miles round trip from Antioch, Illinois to get subs, fochia bread and vodka sauce.More

I passed this place many times over the years but never checked it out until some friends moved near the deli. We were pleasantly surprised by the authentic Italian food. This is no “fast food “ type of place. The subs and their other Italian...sandwiches are made with the “real stuff “. The sausage, meatballs, and the assortment of other choices have been high quality excellent. Browse the cooler section for interesting quality items. The “arancinis”are pretty good too, although nobody makes them better than my best friend Tony. Just a gentle suggestion; the rice needs to a little less pale by adding a little more sauce. Otherwise still good. Prices are fair and friendly help. Worth the trip.More

This place makes the kind of italian sausage Chicagoans all over the world wish they could find. Simple, course ground pork, fennel (gotta have fennel), salt, pepper, little else. Nothing fancy, just stuffed gold! They have mild, mild with fennel, hot, xx hot and garlic....Subs are amazing on awesome crusty bread. Will be bringing lots of sauage back to Atlanta with me. Raised in Chicago, jonesing for a taste of home no more.More
