We had a very good breakfast on the two occasions we were there. Might want to keep in mind that the portion sizes were huge. I was a little disappointed that TripAdvisor showed today's closing time as 2:30pm, yet when I approached their counter today at 2:03 pm to get a beverage, I was told they were closed.

Stayed at the Omni and this place is a short walk. We arrived early and grabbed a seat on the patio for breakfast, by the time we left there was a decent crowd. I recommend the Croque madame. It was delicious, very filling, but amazing. My husband had the Ole skillet and although good he was envious of mine after... More

Close to the Gloden Mile and your downtown shopping, this cute place on a multiple floor level, takes you back in time to the traditional OUTSTANDING & DELICIOUS All American Breakfast! All of us were of the same opinion. We haven't had a breakfast this good in ages. Top notch quality, great service. Keep in mind the place does get... More

Found this little place when we were walking around Chicago last week and my wife suggest would should try it, it was a great choice. Many local favorites along with breakfast staples. I had the Sunny Sothern Special, which a was ham, eggs and homemade biscuits with gravy. Not southern style gravy but very good as were the biscuits. The... More

El fresco sidewalk patio breakfast in downtown Chicago. Great coffee to help deal with the fatigue from a late night. Flavourful and well presented however it was quite a wait for breakfast fare.

Due to my good lady having visited Chicago numerous times she recommended Sunny Side Up as being the best breakfast location in Chicago and I can only agree. For a Brit that has only seen America once before this place has that true U.S feel to it. It's a busy place at the weekends so you'll have yourself a wait... More

We stopped for breakfast and found it to be a wonderful surprise. Wow was it ever good. One of us had an omelet, another had cinnamon roll pancakes which he loved. I have an egg allergy, so I ordered an eggs been edict dish with the eggs scrambled on the side for my son. Every bite was delicious. This is... More

Yesterday we went looking for an alfresco breakfast place and came across Sunny Side Up. Very central and just off North Michigan Avenue. A genuine 'local' establishment with a great choice of breakfast dishes, fantastic service and good prices. Highly recommended. Will be going back to try another dish this morning!
