I am a fan of Emilio's tapas in Naperville since more than 20 years , so it was a nice surprise for me to find this new location downtown and very convenient to our hotel. The place is very nice, the staff attentive and helpful, great quality/price ratio for Chicago, great tapas and several choices of paella, including a vegetarian... More

Emilio's Sol Y Nieve is just across the street from us and we hardly go there. It's not that it is not good, it is just that we haven't been big fans of tapas. It is always "what do we order". This time we were not that hungry and it was already nine p.m. We ordered shishito peppers, bacon wrapped... More

Recent visit to Chicago, our hotel was not ready and concierge recommended Emilio's. After plane and taxi ride, the restaurant was an oasis. Everyone was attentive throughout our meal, the food was terrific and reasonable so that we shared a large variety of dishes and did not break our budget. Outdoor seating was wonderful, to sit and enjoy the street... More

Please check out their cold tapas of anchovies and marinated octopus and are more than enough to compensate for their not-to-crave-for paellas, chicken and ham croquettes and their blood sausage morcilla. Spanish beers though were quite good and service was just okay. AS this has a sidewalk cafe feel, overall experience was quite good in the busy food street of... More

We recently needed to spend a couple of days in Chicago and a return trip to Emilio's was the must do dining option after we had stumbled on it on our last visit a couple of year's ago. The Patatas con alioli was as delightful and garlicky as we remembered (and way better than the version at our local Indianapolis... More

We always look for unusual restaurants in our travels, so we decided to try Emilio's Spanish Tapas on our last day in Chicago. We were quickly seated and chose the patio so we could watch people walk by on a Sunday morning. My lovely wife ordered a red wine blend and I ordered the Ambar Export Tres Maltas beer, a... More

We had dinner last night. We enjoyed food and two of the three waiters. The waiter who came to clean the table, While he was collecting place, lost a chicken wing bone on the table just in front of my husband. He did not apologise and he left it on the table...... I expected a better service

Visited Emilio's before heading to a concert at Soldier Field. Stumbled upon it and am so glad we did. Tapas were wonderful - lots to choose from and all were fantastic. Great blend of flavors and pairings. Sangria was good and the flan, for dessert, was the best I have had in a while - smooth and had the perfect... More

Nice, local place with excellent tapas and a friendly staff. I've had small plates tapas many places, including many of these dishes in Spain and the quality of the food was terrific. The atmosphere is not over-the-top stylish but still plenty comfortable and pleasant. This is one of those drop-in kind of restaurants that I wish I has closer to... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
