We visited for dinner on saturday night (8/13) with a large group (8 adults, 1 child), and were all quite happy with the decor and ambience. The drinks and food were excellent, and very reasonably priced. The service was spectacular-- especially the level of attention the staff gave to my overly energetic 7-year old daughter as she explored the restaurant... More

We ate breakfast here three times and it was consistently excellent. Service (Stacy) was really pleasant and the food was great.

Located at the lobby level of the Chicago Four Seasons, Allium is the "official" bar of the hotel. It is inserted between the lobby lounge and the breakfast/lunch/dinner restaurant of the hotel. Small tables, leather-covered chairs, mood lighting and efficient service conspire to offer a relaxing stop. The myxologists are experts and there is a nice selection of wines by... More

The scallops were inedible- rubbery and with an unpleasant iodine flavor intermixed with undercooked "homemade lamb bacon." Professional, attentive service offset this somewhat as the wait staff is superb and replaced the dish immediately. Still, despite being unusual nothing else I had was particularly pleasurable. Creative dishes? Yes. Scrumptious? Hardly.

The hot dog at Allium had been strongly recommended to us, so we came with high expectations, but were not disappointed. Their high-end take on the hot dog was really, really good and we were very happy with it, even though it's a bit of a departure from some of the street dogs Chicago is known for. The Nutella milkshake... More

I have been a long time regular and I have always said to others what great drinks Allium has. I must say (in a review--not just word of mouth), the drinks at Allium are THE BEST DRINKS EVER. EVER!!! If you like: Creativity--they have it. FRESH--the FRESHEST fruit and natural ingredients--they have it. Powerful and potent (no holding back on... More

This restaurant offers an intimate setting. The food is well prepared and it seems they are using local fare and Amish chickens. Every dish we tried was delicious and filling. Service is sometimes slow but very kind. The breakfast menu is limited, but all offerings are prepared with art. It is a hotel restaurant, but will not qualify for a... More

Love this place. My friends and I enjoy having our dessert and tea at this place due to its food variety ,late closing hour and atmosphere. Also keep in mind one of the best features of this place that is it quiet and not crowded late night.

Allium continues to uphold the Hotel’s trademark of exemplary, engaging service in a new relaxed atmosphere, making it the ultimate Chicago gathering place. Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
