Went on a Friday night while in town for a conference and had booked a reservation weeks in advance. Definitely a different vibe from GT Prime. Bright, white walls, checkered tile floor a lot of sea and fish decor very cape cod. Greater by the...More

Was in town for a large trade show, we reserved the private room and had 10 people. The staff was great, very accommodating and helpful. Hannah was a real professional, knowledgeable but not intrusive. Rachel was flexible and helped to make the evening a big...More

Food was good. Oysters were great. A bit over priced. Service was slow. It was really hot inside, didn’t seem like the air conditioning was working. It is super loud too - not conducive for quality conversation.

A truly great lunch offer, $25 for 3 courses - and what courses. Fresh, beautiful, great tasting. Kind and attentive service, nice place - I will definitely come back if I ever visit Chicago again.

Offers small plates to share, hot and cold. We ordered at least 7-8 different dishes and all so creative and delicious. Really loved the scallops, eggplant and halibut!

I visited the restaurant for lunch with my daughter. It is a very bright and cheerful spot with lots of seating options and plenty of space between tables. Our server was really friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. I had a deliciously rich clam chowder...More

It is so fresh you can still taste the ocean! The oysters were incredible! We also ordered the fish tacos, scallops and lobster roll. We have been to Boston, Seattle, and many other cities where they claim to have the best lobster rolls, but none...More

I've eaten a lot of oysters in my 68 years in too many locations to list here. Your Sunset Beach selection were the best I've ever had! I also thought the Monk Fish was simply superb. Will definitely be back for more of each.

Description
As yet another fantastic Boka Restaurant Group endeavor, GT Fish & Oyster opened in March of 2011, and has helped redefine the American seafood restaurant. Michelin starred, and Food and Wines Best New Chef 2008, Giuseppe Tentori, has developed a menu that's half-traditional, half modern, in an everchanging small plates format. The restaurant received three stars from the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun Times, and 4 stars from Time Out Chicago.
