Last time I checked shorts was allowed. Been there the past year and now we get rejected because we’re in shorts? Didn’t know the dress code was super strict. Won’t be coming back again that’s for sure. Fix up the tone because it sucks. It’s...More

For all the hype, I wasn't impressed. Thought this place was just average. Appetizers were basic and drinks tasted watery. Service was good, waitress came by frequently. Atmosphere was lively. Too many options though, and this didn't stand out for me.

First, Moe’s has the best Mule with habenero that I’ve ever had! The chips and salsa were delicious... The service was great. We had shrimp tacos and the shrimp and bacon skewer. Deliciously prepared with fresh ingredients. Nice atmosphere. Thanks for taking care of us,...More

Disagree with some of the reviews on here. Service was terrific. Food as well. Drinks kept full. Great spot for Happy Hour. Decorated nice for holidays.

11 am reservation. Arrived 8 minutes early. Hostess opened the door. Asked for a wheelchair accessible table. They didn’t have any!!! Manager was friendly and had to go dig one out of the basement. Took 15 minutes to get, set up and clean. Finally sat...More

Tried out Moes in spite of the reviews as it was close to our hotel. Place looks cool, nicely decorated. Hostess and waitress clearly were uninterested in seating or serving a middle aged couple (us). But we were seated and ordered food while attempting to...More

Stopped here for late afternoon drinks. Sat at the back end of the front bar, waited to be acknowledged for service, bartender never came over. After some seats were vacated we moved to the front end of the bar, still took 10 minutes to get...More

Beautiful restaurant! We went around 5:30. Only a few tables of people and some at the bar. Happy hour margaritas were awesome. Not strong, but definitely not weak. We ordered some small plates (half off for happy hour) and quesadillas. Queso Fundido and carnitas quesadilla...More

The margaritas were wonderful. We ordered the shrimp tacos, and some chips and salsa. My husband enjoys the different hot sauces, I don't. Even the salsa for the chips was spicy for me. I still think a great place to go...just beware!

Description
Established in 2010 Moe's Cantina is located in the River North area, just north of the Loop and the Main Branch of the Chicago River. It features Mexican fare with Spanish and South American influences, including mesquite-grilled skewers, sharable hot and cold plates such as tacos, flautas and Mexican sliders, and full-sized entrees including fajitas, paella and steamed mussels in a spicy white wine-tomato sauce. The cocktail menu has selections such as housemade sangria, handmade margaritas, premium tequilas, domestic and imported beers, and more. Inside are concrete bars and flooring, exposed brick walls, custom-made wrought iron chandeliers and open kitchens with mesquite-burning grills. Oversized retractable glass doors open for an alfresco vibe in the summer months and offers outdoor seating on a spacious sidewalk café. Easily accommodate large groups with booth seating and communal tables. Semi-private and private party options are available.
