Went with 3 couples Food was good Atmosphere was average but the total bill was outrageous. If you want to spend 400$ per couple for some sushi and sake this is your place Can’t recommend.

Wow, this is some of the best sushi I've had. While it was a little expensive, I think it is directly related to the quality of food and freshness. This place is a gem. It is cozy and quaint inside and perfectly romantic. We kicked...More

Midway airport is full of bars and fast food restaurants with pedestrian food offerings. We found Arami to be a fresh addition. We ordered one rice bowl and one large salad, both topped with a piece of nicely cooked salmon and some fresh tasting dressing....More

Went on the recommendation of my brother-in-law. The taxi rid takes you through a 'dodgy' part of town to what appears to be a gentrified area. The door is non-descript, and you'd walk past it if you weren't looking for it. Walking in is like...More

Maybe the fact that I do spend part of my time living in Japan has sets the bar too high, but someone should urgently remove the word "Japanese" from anything related to this restaurant. There are plenty of “omakase” and “otoro” words on the menu...More

This amazing sushi restaurant stands out not only for it's high quality of food, but for the variety and inventiveness of the dishes. Simple recipes made from extremely good ingredients, and with an outstanding curated sake list to boot. It IS a small restaurant but...More

We went on Valentine's Day and decided to have their special tasting menu based on the Michelin review that raved about their ability to do more than simple sushi. There were 7 EXTREMELY small portions that were, at best, "meh!', and at worst a trial...More

With a focus on freshness and quality, Arami's cuisine is a product of traditional ingredients and forward thinking technique. Representing the culture and care taken in Japanese cuisine, Arami prides itself on bringing art and enjoyment to any night of dining. At Arami's entrance is a torii gate, traditional in Japan to mark a transition, originally found outside of shrines. It is for this reason our sake bears the name: Ichi No Torii, The First Gate. Created to pair with our entire offerings and made exclusively for Arami, this sake is produced in collaboration with Omuraya Brewery in Shizuoka, Japan. --- Arami's interior can be described as a garden-like atmosphere, an urban retreat. Natural materials with an urban architectural feel make up the ambiance. Visitors are greeted in the front lounge, where our bar neatly displays our rare sake, wine and spirits selection. The Main dining room with vaulted skylight ceilings, streams light in the early hours on the tabletops, a mixture between bamboo and live-edge oak wood. The garden room, a smaller dining area toward the rear of the restaurant, is an atrium-like space with an abundance of foliage and Japanese wood engravings, perfect for Private Dining or quiet conversations.
