I'm a vegetarian and I have trouble finding things at most restaurants. I got a delicious pasta with spicy sauce and sautéed eggplant and have never been happier. The staff was nice and the atmosphere was lovely. Very reasonable prices for a restaurant in the city. would definitely recommend!

We went on a recent Saturday night during a rain storm. We were late but they held our table. Service was friendly and efficient. My daughter had the Bruschetta Romana which was excellent. Maybe the best and freshest mozzarella I have ever had. She also had the Roasted half chicken with potatoes which was delicious. I had a tossed salad... More

My mother and I had dinner at Francesca's while traveling to Chicago. The food was wonderful!!! Mom had a chicken and mushroom dish which was wonderful. I had a chicken, tortellini dish with cream sauce. Delicious! Also, there are many bottles of wine to choose from for fair prices on their menu.

My wife and I visited Francesca's on Chestnut after reading all the good reviews. I have gluten intolerance and never miss a opportunity to have some good pasta. This place delivered big time!! The gluten free pasta is perfect. Tastes magnificent and is still al dente. The staff is very friendly and extremely service minded. The wine selection is good... More

A group of five of us went here for dinner and we heartily recommend Francesca’s. As an appetizer we had bruschetta which was excellent with the correct blend of tomato and garlic, a fruity olive oil, and a wonderful fresh mozzarella. We had the risotto asparagus and Pasta Amatriciana both of which were excellent. We even asked for Fettuccini Alfredo,... More

I was in a party of three and we had a chance to eat and taste quite a bite. Our calamari appetizer was one of the best I ever eaten. As a matter of fact, I usually dont eat the tentacles but even that was very good. I had the rigatoni with sausage as my entree and it was delicious.... More

I reserved a table here recently because of its close proximity to the hotel I was at (very close). We walked to the restaurant not really having any pre conceived ideas what we were in for other than reviewing the menu online. WOWZA!! This place was packed! Friday evening at it was filled with both locals and tourists alike. We... More

My adult daughter and I went to Francesca's on our last afternoon in Chicago. The food was excellent and our server Evan made the lunch an exceptional experience. I look forward to returning when next in Chicago!

If staying in one of the many hotels in the North Lakeshore Drive area (Chestnut, Delaware or Walton) this would be a very good choice for a solid Italian meal in a pleasant, reasonably quiet atmosphere. Excellent seafood and pastas. Ask for Marci for excellent service.

Very convenient to the hotel area, an easy walk gets you into a very comfortable place. Near the WaterTower shopping you'll have a great menu, an accommodating kitchen and enough choices with true Italian flavor. The staff was excellent, service was brisk and courteous. From the MaItre d on everyone is very nice. Food was worth the walk, and a... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
