Good late Night Bar

My wife and I worked until late (10 pm), but still wanted to go to a place that had some semblance of night life. Being from out of town, the concierge at our hotel suggested Sable. We were not disappointed. While not standing room only, the bar was packed with out of towners and locals. The... read more

I have walked out on a restaurant after looking at the menu just once in my 61 years. Now it's twice. Heather Terhune built a terrific menu that made us visit Sable on every business trip to Chicago. The new "chef" gutted the menu 100%. The once packed bar is half empty and the restaurant is completely empty. An enormous... More

We stopped at this place on a recommendation from a bartender at Fado's, who said it was her favorites bar. The drinks at fantastic, let John Stanton hear what you like and then let him make you a cocktail. They are truly superb, if a little pricey. Had the Steak Tartare and the Mushroom Flatbread. Both of them we delicious... More

Came here twice - once for breakfast and once for dinner - and loved the place. Not sure if I've been to many better hotel restaurants, but sable doesn't feel like one, as it just seems like a good restaurant in general! Great gastro style food meant to share. Highly recommend the marrow and anything else on the menu. A... More

By happenstance, i joined some friends here when I was passing through Chicago last week. It's definitely a place I'd recommend to others and go again when I'm back in town. They have very good food, interesting cocktails and everything else you expect from a bar. In addition, the staff was really knowledgeable and helpful.

We stayed at the Palomar and enjoyed breakfast at Sable one morning. The food was delicious. Definitely much better than typical hotel/restaurant fare. Our server was great as was the hostess when we needed to go cups for hot chocolate and coffee. I found the prices to be reasonable for a big city restaurant.

It's always an adventure finding creative cocktail bars when we travel. Sable did not disappoint! This was my 2nd time having a cocktail at Sable and it was wonderful yet again. Wanted to try something different while in Chicago. The food come out so quick and it is excellent! The signature cocktails are super slow coming out so make sure you order your drinks well before your food order. I loved the style of food and the wait staff was excellent. It was a great experience!
