Restaurant is dirty, the guy behind the counter stuffed the food (no gloves) with his yellow finger nails into the bun. Never saw that before ... Imagine: relish dropped on the plate and he moved it with his fingers back on the hotdog. I did two bites to try it - dog was good (maybe his fingers flavored them tasty... More

Great fries, hot dogs winner and reasonable prices. Many ordered polish sausage, I didn't try it but I guess the locals love it. Friendly service with a smile. Have to try at least once if you're in the zoo area.

We were craving a Chicago-style hot dog and got a darn good juicy dog! It was charred and very juicy. It was also close to our hotel, so very convenient.

We ate here before we went to the Lincoln Zoo. It is a tiny place with big hot dog taste. The food is cheap, but so good. The service is fast. Its just a fun place to eat.

OK, we did check into our Airbnb first, but then we hit this neighborhood joint for a mid afternoon Chicago Dog. YUM. Great dogs, supers soft buns, and crispy fries. We haven't had a real Chicago Dog in over 10 years, and this reminded us of what we were missing! The owner was lovely, and we ended up back there... More

A perfect spot to grab a dog in Lincoln Park. I enjoy the Polish with grilled onions. Fake fireplaces are a bit confusing but fun. Scenic view if you sit in the window and watch people walk down Armitage.

Was served by the owner a cold bacon dog. Not sure how that happens, but it did. Won't go back due to cold food and owner's arrogance.

In Chicago, on the Near West Side, not far from Lincoln Park Zoo, this is the place for hot dogs, takeout and late night delivery. There are a lot of hot dog joints in Chicago and many varieties of the Chicago-style hot dog but the Dog Joint is among the best. Nothing fancy, no sit-down, just fast, friendly service and... More
