I was in Chicago for a vacation and we felt like Mexican food so after reading some reviews of a few places we settled on this restaurant and were very glad we did. Don't expect a fancy sit down type of place. You stand in line to order your food and then they bring it out to you. We both... More

There are some nice healthy choices, the guacamole is very good and the soups were good but not great. A nice idea for semi-fast food. Get here early as it fills up very quickly at lunch time. Service is choppy telling you were to sit when you come in and then changing things up. odd.

Went here for dinner on a weekday night. Place is laid out for counter service - you stand in line, place your food and drink orders, then find a seat and they bring out what you ordered. Our party of 5 got there in time for happy-hour drinks so margaritas were $5 instead of $10/glass. We started with some different... More

So I went in thinking it was going to be amazing. 1. I thought it was over priced. 2. The churros were hard. I will say the the meat was well seasoned. The service wasn't great. It wasn't that busy but the people seemed as if they didn't want to help you.

We love this place and always make sure to visit whenever we're in Chicago. We usually visit Xoco for a small bite or dessert but our favorite thing is the hot chocolate. Be prepared for a different experience if you order the hot chocolate. It is incredibly rich but delightful. Xoco is located next door to Frontera Grill and Topolobampo.... More

We almost walked away because of the chaotic ordering process. Once your party is all present, they assign you an order number and a table. You then stand in line to place your order & have to find your table. They assigned us to a table to be shared with another party, but the was too small for the number... More

Xoco is a go to for us when in Chicago. Rick Bayless has created a casual venue featuring a wonderful menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We came for breakfast and the Wood Oven Chilaquiles are spectacular! It's got everything spicy and cheesy in a bowl: tortilla chips, roasted tomato-serrano sauce, Samuel's cheese, poblano rajas, and scrambled eggs. I don't... More

After a great dinner at Iberico, we walked down the street in the rain to get our churros and Chocolate. I lived in Madrid and have sampled some of the best churros, and these compare greatly to those I ate while walking around The Retiro nursing my hangover.

A very interesting and delicious menu! Really courteous employees. The mushroom sandwich was so tasty! Good Flan too! Second time there and hope to return!
