Best Puerto Rican food hands down. I order from here frequently. My husband drives 45min to an hour just because it’s that good. Unfortunately I’m not a fan of the service/ servers before the pandemic. I hated eating in. Such a hassle because it was...always sooo Busy, but it’s because it’s that good. Now I order as we’re leaving the house pick up to go problem solved. I’m not a fan of the frituras (appetizers) they’re OK. Except the carne frita my husband and I eat it as we’re driving home, but the entree’s are everything every time. Authentic Puerto Rican food without the clean taste like home. We’ve ordered everything on the menu and it’s consistently delicious if they keep this up I’m a customer for life.More

We've gone to this place a few times already and it is REALLY good. Authentic dishes that taste amazing. It can be a little chaotic with the noise level but it's all part of the experience. You should definitely walk up to the counter and...give your name or the wait for a table can be somewhat long, if you go during peak times, like dinner.More

I love tastes of the Caribbean islands and this place nails Puerto Rican food. A nice section Jibaritos and tasty Lechon. People are usually lined up. Small inside with a few tables, but service is quick and the food is delicious.

A friend had posted a picture of this place on social media and by the way the food looked you can tell it was authentic, and delicious. Since this was a restaurant we had not been too, we decided to check it out for yourselves....First, it's a small restaurant on Harlem Avenue where it can be difficult to find parking since it's in a business district with limited parking. So you have to go slow and look on both sides of the street for parking. We went around 1:00pm on a Tuesday to eat in, and it was packed with tons of people coming in to pick up orders, others ordering out, and others waiting to be seated. They seem to have a great process in place with their carry out service, as people were not waiting long and others who are ordering didn't seem to wait long either. Being a small restaurant, they have limited space to eat in so you have to wait, but it's worth it. Surprisingly, we only had to wait 5 mins for a table. I think we just lucked out that day. The atmosphere is vibrant and fun - given it's a busy place. They have Salsa music playing in the background, which surprisingly wasn't loud but very enjoyable. When you get seated the waitress gives you a small warm bread basket and a pitcher of water. Since this was our first time there, we were mostly interested in their Jibaritos - so we ordered the Steak Jibaritos, arroz con gandules (rice with gandules beans), sweet plantains, and a papa rellena (stuff potato), and for dessert a coconut tres leche cake (three milk cake). Everything we ordered was delicious, tender and fresh. The prices are inexpensive and you get great portions. Their prices are lower than other places in the city and they have better quality of food and service. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience excellent Puerto Rican food. Happy eating!More

This is by far the best Puerto Rican Restaurant in the area. I moved from Puerto Rico to Chicago 8 years ago and I have tried several restaurants, but this is by far the best. The alcappurrias are amazing, the carne frita was delicious too,...but my favorite was the mofongo. I will definitely come back.More

We live in the neighborhood and knew this place had opened so we had to give it a try. We went to try the Lechon but sadly they had run out about 15 minutes prior which forced us to scan the menu again in search...of something else. We decided on the pr stew and the breaded steak sandwich along with trying a few apps, potato ball, meat pie and banana dumpling. All I can say is the food was absolutely amazing!!!! There was no way we could finish our meals as the servings were plentiful to say the least. We are going back for the Lechon and based on what we have already tried we can't wait to try everything!! This is going to be a very dangerous place for us as we live so close, I may just give up cooking!!More

Great find! Intimate and if you like authentic Puerto Rican food you should give this place a try. The Jibaritos, freshly made soups, the beans, pinchos, morcilla, papá rellena and parcha drink completed our meal. They recently opened and seemed to be busy. Keep up...the good food and all the best!!!More

The food here is almost too good. Like orgasmic. I thought for a sec that they forgot my order because 30 minutes had gone by but they called my name as I went to ask about my food. It was worth the wait. I say...order ahead or go when the crowds are smaller. Sunday just after lunch was not a great idea if you are hungry. I ordered the Lechon Jibarito and flan and they were great. We also ordered a Carne Asada Jibarito which was also great since I had some of that one as well. A definite must visit. Not a ton of space for seating but not bad. The kitchen looks huge but that is where all the magic happens.More
