Chef Jose and the brigade prepared the best fish we have had in such a long time. We came back two nighta in a row and both times the salmon amd the branzzino were amazing. Perfect skin crispy and good light flaky fish . I...had the tomato soup one night and mushroom another . Both were well done. Service was good and desserts we both fine. I will not miss coming back to 312 just to have the fish. Great job grill team.More

We've been here several times, and never disappointed. There is pleasant outdoor seating during the summer, and inviting spaces inside during the winter. Our meals included salmon, chicken, and pappardelle bolognese. All have been extremely well-prepared, satisfactory wine list, and nice dessert choices. This is...definitely a step up from other pre-theatre options available in the loop.More

Three of us ate lunch at 312 Chicago before attending Phantom of the Opera at the Cadillac Theater. First, it was wonderful to walk a short distance into the theater as it was just around the corner! Second, our service was prompt, pleasant and quite...efficient, and the waiter kindly answerer all questions. Finally, the food was delicious.More

Food was excellent. Ate here before the show. We were running late and they were very accommodating to move things along. Made show with plenty of time. This is pricey but was expected. You are downtown in theater district.

We reserved the tasting room for our family of 14. We arrived after the matinee performance of Phantom. I preordered appetizers, risotto truffle balls, beef tenderloin & stuffed mushroom caps. All were good. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails, wine & entrees. I also preordered the Italian...cookie trays for dessert. The one suggestion I have would to have more variety, all were butter cookies except for 2 large cannoli which were difficult to cut & share. Perhaps mini cannolis, as well as a couple more types of cookies? The service was wonderful, thanks to Luis & team. I made all arrangements through Caroline who was helpful & very responsive.More

Having eaten here before, I was disappointed at the quality of the food as well as the service. I went for the pick three meal choice and wished I hadn’t.

I had dinner here last night. I had an italian sausage and pasta dish that was good. They make their pasta in house, fresh each day. My wife had a rib eye special and she enjoyed it. The chef came to our table to check...in and make sure all was ok which was nice. The service was good. Convenient location in the loop, close to theatres and Union Staion.More

Awful experience, but it didn’t have to be. We chose this restaurant out of many choices to celebrate our holidays. We chose this based on the Assaggi prix fixe lunch menu, showing pork and salmon. (See attached pictures. As of today, they have changed their...website!!) Our reservation was at 1:45. The waiter presented us with a different menu, which online was shown as the dinner menu. He said he couldn’t change it and we were disappointed since we were looking forward to those dishes. We asked to speak to a manager. Our waiter, Salvatore, finally came back to us 15 minutes later and told us the manager was in a meeting and he wasn’t sure when he could come see us. I said I don’t understand why you can’t substitute the dishes for us since that’s how it’s advertised online. He said well I’m just a waiter and I can’t make those decisions because I’ll get in trouble. What kind of customer service is that? That a waiter can’t just make an executive decision and give you dishes that are listed online as a substitution? You just do it and make the customer happy and everything is fine. I have never in my life heard any waiter say that I can’t make that kind of decision. We waited a little longer and finally went to the hostess. She too said the manager was busy. We finally just left. I have never had a more ridiculous experience at a restaurant. All they had to do was substitute the dishes. End of story. Thank goodness we had dinner reservations at Girl and the Goat where the superb food was matched by stellar wait staff who cared about their customers!!More
