A group of us were at a law office for a meeting about an old case and they provided lunch from Dos Toros Taqueria. Essentially, they provided tortillas, grated cheese, black beans, rice, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, corn, dressings and salsas and a lot more...to make our own burritos or even a burrito bowl. Additionally, a bag of tortilla chips, so you could make your own nachos with your choice of ingredients was provided. There was more than enough food for us. They even provided color-coded cards to ensure that we didn't take the wrong salsa - a nice touch. The food was quite tasty. This Dos Toros Taqueria is located on the northeast corner of N. Dearborn St. and W. Madison St.More

I was downtown for an afternoon business meeting and had just exited the subway. I was on the prowl for lunch an Dos Toros was one of the first places I came across. Think Chipotle. Burritos. Tacos. Quesadilla. Bowls. Fresh. Fast. Flavorful. Heavy sustainability focus....Veg & vegan friendly. Transparent @ ingredients. Communal seating. Kinda throws people. They don’t take cash. Which I have yet to grasp the concept. I had the veg salad bowl. Nothing epic. Tasted fine. Wasn’t liking the eggplant cubes. Undercooked. Nice they had faro. Unusual ingredient. Made a good choice.More

The place is clean and the ingredients are very fresh. The lines are very long but move quickly. There is not enough sitting available.

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat on our way to a baseball game. The employees were very friendly and attentive. The seat yourself area was clean and well stocked with napkins and utensils. I had a quesadilla which was delicious and tasted very...fresh. Worth a try if you don’t have time for table service meal.More

Just learned of Dos Toros Taqueria on a recent trip to Chicago. Everyone has been raving about it, so I had to give it a try. This location in Chicago (there is set to be one open on E Wacker shortly) is at Dearborn and...Madison. This is a fast casual restaurant where you go through the line and say "yes/no" to all of the ingredients on offer. All of the sauces and the guacamole are made by hand, and it shows. I ordered a Pollo Asada Burrito and loaded it up with nearly everything - veggies, black beans, rice, guacamole, cheese, tomato salsa, habanero salsa, sour cream, corn, and lettuce. By the time the burrito was rolled up it was HUGE. I took my burrito to go and walked back the five blocks to work. It was impressive that the burrito was still hot and all of the flavors were amazing after I got to the office (not to mention incredible that it was still just as good after a 30 minute interruption before I could finish it!)... No doubt I will be back - and often - when I am in Chicago (or New York)!More

A big shoutout and innumerable thanks to the staff at Dos Toros Taqueria. We stumbled upon this place on the 23/02/18 and noticing the long queue and hive of activity inside, we decided to give this place a go. Realising that we hadn't had a...valid payment card on us and after being told that cash wasn't accepted on premises, we were informed by the person at the cash register (to our utter amazement and gratitude), that our meal was on the house. Needless to say, that meal we had was our best and most memorable one on our entire trip! Hearty portions, fresh ingredients, vibrant flavours, and to top it all off, the extraordinary service. An truly unforgettable experience!More

This new Mexican restaurant (new to Chicago) is pretty good. The food is fresh and tasty with lots of healthy ingredients to choose from. This is s nice alternative to the regular Mexican fare downtown.

I stopped by here at lunch as I heard it was supposed to be really good mexican food. The line was out the door at lunch time but when I saw it was short for a late lunch I decided to try it. It has...the chipotle feel with a few more options. I ordered the quesadilla thinking it was cheese and meat but it ended up pretty much like a smaller version of a taco. It was good but not that good that I would wait in a long line for it.More

Crowds are flocking, I myself stood a little surprised. The layout is recognized from the fast food chain Chipotle. As fast lunch option in office...district may beMore
