This location is more of a coffee shop, closes early afternoon. Espresso drinks are OK. The almond bars are pretty good, chocolate chip cookies are more like sugar cookies than traditional American ones.

We enjoyed our croissant breakfast sandwiches and coffee. The staff was very welcoming and kind and our food was delicious! I did feel it was a bit expensive ($40 for two sandwiches and small coffees), but when in Paris...
A wonderful, leisurely paced Parisian late-breakfast. The quiche and croissant were miraculous. Highly recommend to all.
Even though the restaurant is no longer run by Parisians, the food is still pretty good. Osha, the manager is great. She makes the experience even better.
This is one of two places in the city with the best croissants. It is small like a Paris bakery. There is some seating. Espresso is good. They also serve quiche but I did not have it. A gem!
This cafe has the best French pastries in Chicago, hands down. Don't bother with the mediocre croissants and eclaires at the trendy spots downtown or the cafes trying too hard with fancy decor. Instead travel here to this north side gem for the most perfectly...flaky, slightly crisp crusts and whipped, light creams with rich flavors. And if you're lucky they will have the Paris-brest as their pastry of the day - the best pastry I've had in the US since my travels in Europe. Oh if only Chicago had more bakeries like this one...More
This restaurant is run by a French chef trained in Paris. The food is amazing, authentically French, and delicious. The owners, both from Paris, import many of their ingredients from France, and it shows. The food is fresh, the service is excellent, and the owners...are very friendly. There is an outdoor eating space behind the restaurant (weather permitting), and there is ample seating inside. We have brought many friends to this restaurant who have loved it, and we all go back for more.More
Perfect French croissant and bread. It was a shame for the attitude on a Saturday of the short French guy at the counter. He looked annoyed when I asked him (in French) if he spoke French since I speak French too. Would give 5 stars...for the food, but they lost 2 stars for his attitude in terms of his service. They also had an annoying “survey” tip box staying something like “some say men tip better than women” and then asking what people thought by tipping on one side of the box based on gender. Really???? I of course tipped (despite this French guy) but their message on the box didn’t seem quite right as of course there are many factors that can effect tips.More
Our Airbnb was very close to this cute little place. It looked so charming we had to stop in and try it. We had their crepes and quiche. Oh man were they good! Maison Parisienne has a small seating area inside and then a nice...patio out back. Definitely give this place a try for a great authentic dining experience.More
These are the only croissants I’ve been able to eat since going to Paris. This place imports its flour, butter, and chocolate from France, the chef is French, and the result is the most delicious croissant I’ve eaten in the US.
This little cafe and restaurant is run by several young people from France who have made this location a delightful place for take-out, breakfast and lunch. It somehow feels a little bit like France in there. Many of the ingredients, such as flour, are imported...from France, which gives a genuine French taste to baguettes, etc., that you don't find at other French bakeries in town. I come here often, and while the menu is limited, I have always been happy with my meal or snack there.More
Food.is good, a little snooty, maybe it's because they're French and don't get Midwestern American "nice/friendly". A bit expensive for what you get but it's high quality and fresh. It just feels stuffy and rigid. But you can get past it.
This French cafe is a real treat. The two owners are from France and built their dream business which they run expertly. The menu includes savory tarts, sandwiches and more. And their desserts are not to be missed. Totally delicious! You can eat inside or...in a shaded patio behind the restaurant. Just perfect for a leisurely French meal. Magnifique!More
A few blocks down the street from wrigley field and this little gem of a French coffee pastry shop is really good. They have a huge outdoor area, that's not super fancy, but just nice to hang outside. Worth the stop in to get a...coffee and croissant!More
My husband and I stopped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. They offer a prix fixe lunch for $19 or you can order ala carte. I was very impressed that they import their flour from France - it has a lower gluten content than...flour sold in the USA and so as one who is normally gluten intolerant, I took a chance and was able to eat a regular entree (butternut squash quiche) and a flourless chocolate cake. Hubby had a Croque Monsieur and said it was delicious! Our host is from Brittany and was very gracious. This place is a keeper!!More
