If this isn't my favorite restaurant, it's certainly in the top 2 or 3. The service has always been excellent. We have been there at least 15 times usually as a party of 4, and bring our own wine and beer. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about Marbella. The food is marvelous and always has... The four of us ordered 4 tapas frias and 4 tapas calientes. My favorite were the stuffed peppers (cold) and pork medallions (hot). A few tapas were very salty and Torlilla Espaniola without much character. My companions were much more enthusiastic and planned to come back.

Good food and excellent value. We were in a group of 7. We had a variety of Vegeterian and Non Vegeterian Tapas. Salad was delicious. Veg Pallela was very tasty. Excellent value here. Place is BYOB. Make reservation if possible.

Cafe Marbella is the best find in Chicago. It is in an out of the way location but well worth the travel to get there. Chef goes out of his way to make every meal a treat. He has incredible specials and always something new on the menu. Add in the fact that this place is BYO and you will... More

This out-of-the-way tapas restaurant has everything going for it: outstanding food at reasonable prices, great variety of dishes, friendly and attentive staff, byo keeps overall bill low, relaxed, non-rushed, setting, easy on-street parking. We usually come as a group that varies from three to twenty and celebrate birthdays, anniversaries or just a chance to get together. Last night was a... More

Food OK but service was as bad as it gets. BYOB means at least you get good drinks. Plates had some variety and tasted authentic.

Had reservations at 6:30. Did not look crowded, but filled up by 7:30. Mostly small plates (tapas), hot and cold. Some larger paella dishes that are supposed to be good. We found no time or appetite for that, but they say it's pretty good. We enjoyed many of the tapas hot plates. Lamb meatballs were excellent. Pork scaloppini was very... More

The food was excellent. A huge menu, we had food ranging from salad with goat cheese, figs wrapped in bacon, grilled calamari, chicken, and steak. Brought our own Sangria, which really helped keep the price of dinner reasonable.

This place would never catch your eye driving by, and that is to the benefit of those who are regulars. Every time my husband and I visit, we have the pleasure of experiencing something new (via their daily list of "special" tapas) as well as old favorites (gazpacho, grilled calamari, fruit tortes). The wonderful thing about tapas is that such experimentation... More

Found this little gem and decided to try it out. All very good food with a family feel atmosphere...like I went to my grandmas for dinner with my extended family. Tried the Patatas with Chorizo, the figs, and the Spanish meatballs. My colleague had the portobello mushrooms, mussels, and a salad. The portions were larger than most tapas restaurants I... More
