They had a good selection, but the food was a bit cold and overlooked. The ambiance is nice and other offerings may have been better.

It's just the sort of restaurant you expect in a really busy hotel. It was good. Not fantastic and Chicago is an amazing food town. They aren't that many places to dine nearby so you are sort of stuck with Shor. The good thing? The service is amazing! The people are so nice in this hotel in general.

I had the breakfast buffet every day I stayed at the Hyatt McCormick. On Saturday they served the best corned beef hash I have ever had outside the home. This hash was the real deal , not the slimy stuff out of a can that the cheap diners serve. When a person is doing business at McCormick time is money... More

I ate here twice during the Auto Show. It was always busy. The food is good, the service attentive although a little slow when really busy. The menu has healthy choices and the prices are reasonable for a hotel restaurant. The big plus is you can get to it without going outside on a 25 degree day!

The food was pretty good and service was fast. The waitress was friendly and pleasant to talk to. They only had 2 beers on tap because the rest were "out" (over a dozen). The pricing was pretty high but it was in a hotel so that's what you get. It wasn't open the first two nights we stayed because of... More

We were staying at the hotel and so ate here for two breakfasts and one lunch. The service was very good all three times. They offer buffet fare for lunch and breakfast, however we always ordered off menu. I was quite pleased with the citrus challah French toast. It came with a very nice orange marmalade and syrup. I also... More

Little else available within walking distance. Nevertheless it did fit the bill. Breakfast was excellent because of the variety, quality of fare and courteous service. Long lines during conventions, plan your hours accordingly. Dinner did not shine but the Cubs had won and the ambiance was incredibly festive. This hotel needs more restaurants!

We enjoyed breakfasts and dinners at Shor, during a 5-day stay at the Hyatt for a conference at McCormick Place. Prices are reasonable, considering the convenience of eating at the hotel. Food is not fancy, but tasty with generous portions. Wait staff is professional and accommodating. Kitchen is sometimes s-l-o-w. If available, choose the buffet rather than a la carte.... More

On the first floor of the Hyatt by the convention center, the menu of the hotel restaurant is adequate and not "stupid expensive", just expensive. The steak ordered (hanger steak on the salad) was cold, but at least rare. Server tried up-selling requested glass of wine that "we're out of"... (pet peeve of mine: find another comparably priced wine, not... More
