My son who is a Spanish major at nearby North Park University suggested this as a lunch place for us to go to. He had been there with one of his classes. Great food and service! I wish I’d written down the dishes I had...because it was really tasty. Nice family atmosphere. Very clean. Friendly, good value and great food.More

We hosted a party for 20 at Las Delicias for a group that traveled to Guatemala together to spend a week at Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos Orphanage and some additional days sightseeing. We were looking for "authentic Guatemalan food", and everyone commented about how the food...was even better at Las Delicias than what we experienced in Guatemala! We started with pupusas, which I can describe as a stuffed homemade thicker tortilla, served with a sort of cole slaw and a jalapeno sauce. So delicious! We could have made a meal of these! We followed with pepian, which is a labor-intensive chicken stew-like dish with potatoes and green beans with a side of rice. The flavors were great! Dessert was like a stuffed doughnut, with the dough made with bananas and the filling made with chocolate, cinnamon, and get this, black beans! You have to try it to believe it. The service was friendly and accommodating, and there was even live entertainment - a crooner singing some favorites in Spanish. BYOB also makes it appealing. They will provide wine glasses and a bottle opener if you need it! We will be back!More

We came with a group of students, and no one left disappointed or hungry. Ingredients were fresh and all meals were made to order. Very good! Reasonably priced.
