Nice local eatery, especially for breakfast. I've a city apartment down the street and see a lot of returning customers here. Healthy food options at a fair price. Warm and prompt service. Often has a que, but the line moves quickly -- worth the wait.

Get out of Chicago station and head straight to the Windy City Cafe for a truly enjoyable breatfast. Hearty, healthy and truly fresh food made simple but with loads of flavor.

The breakfasts and the atmosphere of this cafe cannot be beat. We had breakfast here three times in our six days in Chicago. It is located literally above the Chicago Ave Blue Line L station. Eat here!

Some local friends love this place, so we ate brunch here on a Sunday morning. (It is a short walk to St. John Cantius Church.) We were seated quickly, and the service was very good. It's a quaint little cafe with a nice menu, and I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

Get there early or you may have a 15-20 minute wait. Either way it is worth it and great people watching. The place appears small but there is more seating on the other side of the wall that you can not see from the door. I had the biscuits and gravy, large portion and very good. My husband had the... Loved the food selections! Our breakfasts were great. My partner had farmstand frittata which he loved. I chose the combo number 3 with eggs yummy french toast and a side of meat which was very good also. Staff was very friendly courteous and helpful.
