There is a difference between vegan-focused restaurants either with full menus or vegan menus alongside omnivore menus and restaurants that do vegan dishes. Alice and Friends' Vegan Kitchen is a gem. Reasonably priced dishes that are full of flavor are served up in a fun, small space. The wait staff on the evening we went fit the young and hip feel of the restaurant. But back to the food--the textures were varied, which is a plus and though there were many different menu options to choose from, the foods were all spiced and prepared skillfully. On the night we went, there were people who were clearly regulars as well as people trying tofu for the first time (they were rather vocally wary and then quite pleased). Overall, this is definitely worth a visit for anyone in search of a great meal and delicious deserts. It is BYOB.

I am a lifelong meat eater. I occasionally seek out taste y vegetarian dishes, but never a vegan place. After walking past this spot, I decided to give it a go. I was not disappointed. I had a spicy savoury eggplant stir fry over brown rice and a vegan "cheese" burger that made me scratch my head wondering how they got it to taste almost like a regular cheese burger. I will definitely be back

Delicious food. Lots of well constructed options. We had 6 dishes and everyone enjoyed theirs. Friendly place that takes care of their customers and takes pride in doing good healthy food.

This is a vegan, Asian fusion restaurant. It is a byob restaurant. The menu is very extensive with many choices. I had the rainbow roll, satay, salad with walnuts and the carrot cake. Everything was delicious. The service was very good. My only complaint is the decor. It needs to be repainted and made to look less juvenile. Also it is too bright in the restaurant and it would be nice if the lights were dimmed. A more serene / zen atmosphere would go with the Asian type food and make the food taste even better. Some kind of window covering would also be nice. The dream, love and other odd writing on the wall needs to also be removed to look like an adult restaurant. The tables are also kind of cheap looking with no candles on them for atmosphere. The decor does not reflect what is being produced by the kitchen and actually takes away from the experience. The restaurant looks like a cheap cafeteria. You need an HDTV makeover...maybe a Design On A Dime concept to bring in more atmosphere.

I understand that our restaurant might come across as "youthful" but that's because the theme is meant to be bright, fun, and inviting for all ages. Even our main character is a playful rabbit!

This is not your usual vegan place! My husband and I are definitely not vegan and we do not have any diet restrictions, but we thoroughly enjoyed it! This is a vegan restaurant with Asian fusion. They offer Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Taiwanese flavors here through appetizers, soup, salad, and entries. It’s an amazing collection and they offer seasonal dishes.
We tried rainbow rolls, dol sot bi bim bob, love letter from the earth. Everything was very on point with the presentation, ingredients and sauces. I didn’t even get to take a picture of the rainbow rolls, because it tasted so good!
Dol sot bi bim bob comes with a lot of brown rice veggies, fried tofu and mushroom! Love the fried tofu in it.
The salad “love letter from the earth” was very delicious. My husband doesn’t like olives but he finished it! They are indeed very creative with dressings and flavors here.
They have a great dessert menu that I can’t wait to come back and try it.
The service was very attentive and quick as well. The whole place is super relaxing and seating is fairly spacious. There are a lot of street parking around here. My favorite vegan place in the city so far!

I did not know what to expect. I once worked with a Vegan that made a cake with orange soda instead of yeast so I was a little nervous. Not to worry here. They had an extensive menu. It included spring rolls as an appetizer. Their drinks were the best thing but all the food seemed edible. I had a potato stew with brown rice and was quit happy. The chef periodically checked on how everyone was doing. They are mostly a dinner place during the week so I had to wait til the weekend. It was a good time. The waitress was good and 3 business types were enjoying a meal here.

They have different catagories: soy free, nut free, gluten-free, sugar free, and oil free. They have lots of tasty looking dishes but they use Canola oil, which is a very inflammatory oil. I'm allergic to it so I couldn't try the gluten-free agadashi tofu or katsu curry that looked soo good! My options were limited with oil-free but I had the Chickpea masala and my husband had the dol sot bi bim bob. His dish looked wonderful, fresh, and colorful, and he liked it a lot. My dish was good, the chickpeas seemed a little under-cooked, but the dish was well-seasoned and flavorful. It came with a side of brown rice. We tried several desserts: chocolate creme pie, raw berry cheesecake, and peanut butter bar. They were all too sweet for my liking. They use powdered sugar which also isn't healthy. Still, I'd come back as they have some choices I can eat and what I tried, was tasty. I think anyone could find something at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Went there with friends who had been there before. So many choices!!! The menu is extensive and it was so hard to choose what to order. I had the steamed dumplings as an appetizer. They were good but nothing special. My friends had the fried egg rolls, also good, and the TVP satay which was yummy. I had the Korean BBQ which was very flavorful. We all liked what we ordered. The only downside was that the service was very slow. We were there to chat, so it was okay, but the entrees did not all come out at the same time.

Fabulous, delicious vegan food in a comfortable, warm environment with friendly, helpful staff.....especially Ellie the waitress.
Had the warm tofu appetizer, Be Bim Bop, Loving Salad and chocolate cake.

Went there with my wife and daughter. I had the noble burger which was one of the best I have had in a restaurant. They make their own and it was great. My wife tried the Forever Love dish which was delicious. It was flavorful but not spicy. My daughter had the Kaho Soi which was moderately spicy and really good. The portion sizes were just eight for us. Appetizers were on the small side but outstanding in flavor and appearance. Desserts were outstanding. Overall a great experience although the service was a bit slow. Took about 2 hours for dinner which was fine as we were not in a hurry but we did find ourselves waiting to order both appetizers and the main course.
We will definitely be back.

Ordered via Grubhub and was delivered faster than estimated, Great flavor profiles and will be ordering again. Used to be part of the Lovin Hut chain. If you are dining in be prepared for videos of supreme master ching hai (can be a bit weird, but the food is worth it)!
