Big group big meal…

I brought in a group of 20, and it was handled flawlessly. We were given the back room area for some privacy. I enjoyed my eggplant Parmesan, I heard no complaints from anyone else. Also heard good things about the Stromboli, linguine with clam sauce and Italian beef. Service was fast. Plenty of parking. Tucked away behind jewel.

Friday dinner

I have taken my girl friend there and friends there. We usually eat in the dining area. The pasta was very good as was my girl friends Fish choice the portions were large and we took a lot home. Wait staff was friendly and attentive, this is a good date place and a good food place

Not place for quiet lunch, sadly

Great food, excellent service and great value for the money but not a place you want to go for a quiet lunch. Maybe dining room is quieter but not open for lunch. We were in bar area and although not crowded , it was loud to the point of being unpleasant .

Good food, but not worth the trouble with poor service

Very unsatisfactory experience on Sunday. Ordered online for 11:15 pickup. Arrived promptly at that time, and the food hadn't even been started. It took a full half hour for the food to be prepared. When brought out, the chef was quite irritated, and was yelling at the waitstaff. No consideration given, except husband (who was picking up, and waiting this entire time) was offered a drink. Waitperson said the order was misread, they thought it was for 1:15. I still don't understand why it would take one-half hour to prepare. We have ordered takeout from Galatis several times, and it seems that just about every other time, there's a problem. Once, they forgot silverware, and we were eating at my son's new home--nothing was unpacked. So we had to go purchase from the convenience store. Also the forgot one salad.

Went her for a birthday lunch and was disappointed in the size of the portions. The salad was average and chicken about the same - nothing special. Quality was so-so. I won't be back.

Hard to find, but worth the trip

My wife and I have eaten at Galati's numerous times both at their present site and at their former site near the train station. If you don't know where you're going, Galati's can be hard to find. While its signage is good, it is located well back from Route 14. They serve good Italian fare--chicken parm is my favorite. I have always been impressed by their soups. This evening my wife and I had corn chowder. The portion was large and delicious. All portions at Galati's are large. You always take food home. They also have a nice bar with large television screens. The bar and dining room are separated. I appreciate that. Look for Galati's--it is worth finding.

Hosted a private party

We had a celebration of life party in one of their private upstairs rooms. Galati’s management and staff were great to work with, the room worked perfectly for our group and the food was very good. We were able to use their TVs for a slide show and their speaker system for our own music. There was a private bar in the room with a bartender for our group. I would definitely recommend Galatis for a private party. They do an excellent job!

Decent Italian food

My wife and I stopped here for dinner while in this area. We both ordered their chicken parmesan which was pretty good. Our server was prompt and efficient and the restaurant was clean. Would stop here again when in this area.

Disappointed Again

Historically the food has been above average at best. However, I would say that the quality of the food has now significantly declined! The pasta was pasty, over cooked, and it lacked flavor! Not sure what’s going on, but they are in need of an overhaul!

Great martini and friendly service

stopped here for a drink and appetizer in the bar. Second time we had the server Allison. she is friendly and welcoming. The lemon drop martinis are the best! Have eaten in the restaurant a few times and always plenty of food.

Excellent soups & mostacolli

My wife has had baked mostcolli all over for years, and this is the best. Their soups are excellent, like someones Grandma made it. Big menu. Many delicious items. 1/2 is a nice quiet tItalian restaurant, the other 1/2 a real nice lively sports bar.

Great food and wonderful service!

We took our daughter there to celebrate a milestone and hoped that the restaurant would work for her vegan appetite! ...It certainly did while I enjoyed the Lasagna and my wife enjoyed the pasta. The service was superb, the food hot and as always absolutely delicious!

Delicious Dinner

Friday night—as an alternative to the usual fish fry, we did Italian! Galati’s has generous portions, and thankfully a separate bar area from the dining room. (No TVs in the dining area thankfully) Everything is on the menu—pizzas, all sorts of pastas, and of course sandwiches ranging from the Galati burger to a chicken parmigana sandwich. Several appetizers and dessert on the menu as well. Bread is brought to the table and Parmesan cheese and oil are on the table. Every entree comes with a choice of soup (tonight was clam chowder or chicken noodle) or salad and the salad is large. Our favorites were the baked mostacoli and linguini with clams (not in shells). There is an outdoor dining area, off street parking lot, and private function rooms upstairs (there was a reception going on). Popular with locals!
