We stopped in for super on a Saturday. I always enjoy coming here. They were busy but things went smoothly. I enjoy the tacos and chips and salsa. The torta are good.As are the sopa and the gorditas. The salsa is fresh and hotter than most plases.I enjoy the green and red sauces also.

This is not a fancy place. Appears to be family owned. Friendly, food is great and a good value. Burritos are our favorite.

I've been here two times now and I've just decided it's not what I want in a Mexican restaurant. The seating is awkward. Both times I've been left standing at the door for longer than necessary. There also isn't a breezeway, so every time someone opens the door on a cold day you get the freezing wind blowing on you.... More

I eat here often, and have never had anything on the menu which disappointed. If you are a fan of true Mexican food without the glitz, this is the place for you. There is nothing Tex-Mex about it, and reminds me of my trips to Mexico. I really enjoy the squah blossom quesadillia when it is in season.

This was the freshest, most excellent authentic Mexican food I have had since living in Bloomington. The place is always packed but the servers are friendly and the food is delicious, so it is worth the wait.

I love that this is a no frills restaurant that being your food very quickly. The soft corn tacos are also good. But that's about all I enjoy about this restaurant. The parking lot is tiny, but so is the restaurant. You seat yourself but the tables are small so our family of 5 was crammed together. The chips are... More

Authentic Mexican homestyle cooking. The restaurant is small and no frills but the food is excellent! Good selection of Mexican beers and soda. We usually get the taco and 3 tacos plus splitting rice & beans is plenty. As is typical, a basket of chips and salsa are offered before the meal. This is a small family enterprise that is... More

the "Taq" is our neighborhood Mexican stop for great food at a great value. Authentic dishes that aren't stingy on portions!

This wonderful little restaurant near downtown Bloomington, IL. is right on Main Street. Great take-out. Tacos are particularly great. Get some guacamole, chips and a couple of tacos to go and have an at-home party. The tacos are soft-shell corn and larger than you would think at the price. My particular favorite is the Chili Renano (sp) taco.

To wrap it up we liked the food. The service was friendly and helpful but definitely understaffed. I do not like to see several dirty tables that have not been cleared when I enter a restaurant. The price is reasonable but not cheap - the austere functional style is ok - improvement on the cleanliness would make me give them... More
