Heard about MtoL for sometime and decided to give it a try as part of the Eat Out scheme. Shame it's not open at lunch time so we went when it opened in the evening. We hadn't made a reservation but they squeezed us in. Staff are really friendly and orders were taken quickly and it wasn't a long wait for food. Portions are quite small so would be a tad pricey if not discounted. We got the chef's special chaat dish and also lamb samosas as starters. Everything was cooked fresh & piping hot, and very flavourful. For mains we had a lamb curry and the grilled ajwain fish tikka which were both delicious. The cheese naan and thepla we ordered were really nice too and the presentation in a pot was really cute. Everything we had was bursting with flavour which was a delight 😋😋😋😋 Dessert selection seemed to just be kulfi so we didn't get any. It's defo recommended for the amazing food but that aside, a couple of criticisms - there didn't seem to be any covid measures in place at all. No hand sanitiser, staff were not wearing masks, no attempts to collect any details for t&t. There was a bell at the door which people would ring when leaving. It's a nice idea, but really, during the pandemic when reducing the risk of infection is key? That didn't seem well thought through.

This is a lovely little restaurant in Droylsden in the Main Street. It opens at 5 pm I had chicken And rice and lovely sort of potatoe and a roti bread. My husband had a more traditional meal as I don’t like too spicy food. His meal was excellent to. I thought the bottled water a little pricey as our other restaurant gives a free jug of tap water. The service was quick and polite. It was beautifully decorated and very clean with good service and good value

Visited with a group of friends on a Friday night. It’s a cosy cafe with a small selection of dishes. This actually made it easier to order as so many choices can be overwhelming. We decided as a group to order a few starters between us and a selection of mains. The dishes were so tasty and each one tasted unique. I find with some Indian restaurants, the curries taste the same. We met the chef and you can tell they really care about their customers experience and opinions. If you’re happy with the service, you ring the bell on your way out. I’m happy to say that our party of 5 all rang the bell and I will definitely be dining again there soon!

We visited this highly recommended Indian street food restaurant on Saturday evening with my wife and family. A fabulous choice of Indian food served very much like Greek mezes or Spanish tapas which allows you to taste and share plus order more if needed. We were guided by our waiter Zee who was lovely and helpful explaining the dishes to us and advised the right amount to order perfectly. It felt like a family run restaurant everyone helpful polite and even the chef took time out to say hello and ask us how we enjoyed the food. A definite 5star plus for Droylsden and don’t forget to ring the bell on your way out showing your appreciation of the food staff and service. Absolutely brilliant way of serving wonderful tasting food thank you Mumbai to Manchester🐝 oops sorry London 😳👍👍

we hve been to this delightful little resturant before lockdown and thought we will go back, so we went for Friday tea, we were the only ones dining, but here were plenty of takeaways being picked up, it didnt detract from our servcie though. The owners are so friendly and happy to discuss th menu with you, its not your usual curry menu, but its beautifully cooked, tasty and can be spicy so state your peference. we had Rageenla chips, not chips and not popadoms, like a spicy quaver type tube, with quite a spicy dip, they were good I then had chefs special chatt, gorgeous, chickpea and potato dumplings in a spicy youghurt and pmegrate sauce, beautiful For mains, lamb biryani, tender chunks of lamb in a lovely fluffy rice, he forgot to order a sauce, so had some of my daak bukara sauce, creamy block lentil sauce which i moped uo with fhelpa, fengreek & cumin flavoured bread, Then the big lad, had the lamb chops suclent chops cooked to perfection.. All washed down with big bottles of Cobra, it was lovely, always tatsy, always that bit different. You'll ring the bell when you leave, everyone does, absolute gem.

had take away from here last year and thought we would pay it a visit after friends recommended it. price of drinks was dear, rangeela chips were crisps and won't bother with again, main course of chicken tikka and a sauce was a bit pricey, my wife had lamb curry which was nice. would probably not visit again as it seemed pretty crowded.

We got a takeaway from here twice during lockdown and tried several different vegetarian dishes. My partner is Indian and he agreed that all the food was excellent, delicious and so many different flavours coming through. The staff were super friendly and attentive and seemed to really care about your experience of the food. Highly recommend and look forward to dining in when lockdown is lifted. Thank you!

Food was good but for the prices, the portions are really small. Service was bad with slow service and miscommunication between the waitresses a few times and we were moved 3 times to allow for larger parties. The waitresses argued in front of us which made us uncomfortable. Be prepared that this is a small place and therefore it gets loud very quickly. I won't be returning!

Having read a review in the MEN and online we visited today. So glad we did, a small menu is always preferable to 95 dishes, all our food was well cooked, expertly spiced and tasty, starters of samosas and Bombay sausage followed by a lamb kebab, lamb curry in a spicy tomato sauce, chicken wings and gun potatoes. Left feeling pleasantly stuffed, rang the bell on the way out ad it was so good.

We booked a table earlier in the night and they were able to fit us in that night, glad we booked, it was busy when we arrived. Service was quick and personal, the staff seemed genuinely pleased to see us. Food was absolutely delicious, exactly the right amount and distinctive, individual flavours. I will definitely be back again, it was a real treat! Thanks again!

Absolutely incredible food, some of the most authentic, tasty and unique food I've had in a long time. Everything was cooked perfectly, great portion sizes and beautiful fresh ingredients. This was our first visit, but absolutely won't be our last, already one of our favourite restaurants in Manchester after just one trip. I cannot stress how much you need to try this place!

Just shared with my hubby, Ruby Chicken, Lamb Samosa, Chicken and Pomegranate slaw, Indian Sausage and Garlic Naan. Firstly it arrived earlier than stated, which was great! Second, we enjoyed EVERY mouthful. I really do not have one bad thing to say. Each dish was super fresh and cooked perfectly, all with their own flavour! Portions are perfect for 2 sharing. Highly recommend!

It's always a delightful experience eating in this establishment. A hidden gem in the centre of Droylsden. I've only recently discovered almost on my doorstep. It's always a dining delight, however, when we celebrated my husbands 60th there, it outdid itself. It's a quirky little place with fabulous food, great ambience, wonderful service and good value. I highly recommend this dining experience, free parking and on the tram route from Manchester to Ashton
