I was in the Stanley area for a business/ pleasure trip for 3 nights. Admittedly, restaurants were limited so we ate breakfast and dinner at Mountain Village every day. I was pleasantly surprised that the dishes wer3 creative and tasty. For dinner I had a...great pot roast one night, a fantastic sirloin chili and the last night a killer BBQ chicken dish. Breakfast was guacamole toast and a crazy good red flannel hash. I will go back for sure!More

About the only place open in winter and we were staying at the hotel across the parking lot. Big place. Huge menu! I was skeptical. We were sat at a tiny table and barely had room for our waters and two drinks. I wish they’d...moved all the coffee stuff (sugars, creamers, etc) away. Our server was really nice and prompt. We started with the clams and they were great! I ordered the killer pasta #1 and my bf the the ribeye steak. We were both pleasantly surprised!! I loved all the veggies in my pasta. We both had leftovers, big portions. Pretty expensive, but worth it every once in awhile. Place was so busy for breakfast the next day we didn’t dine in. Will definitely come back next time we’re in town!More

Advise not to order the crispy chicken sandwich. Over priced and dry, overcooked, Not Good! The fries were not hot as well.:( Very disappointed! My son ordered chicken tenders and when I ask him how it was he answered. Ugh

Had a late breakfast here coming from Grandjean to Stanley. My husband and I both had their old fashioned breakfast. He is wheat intolerant and they substituted apple slices, he's also picky about what fruit he'll eat, for the toast with no argument and a...minimal charge. The hash browns were not straight out of the freezer, I think they were hand grated there and were very good. My eggs were also done right, I am pretty picky about my eggs. Our wait staff was very attentive and not afraid to chat when not in a rush. Good place to stop for a meal during this time. I did notice that the condiments were left on the table, not sure how I feel about that. They were taking other precautions.More

Walked into this popular destination restaurant to enjoy take-out at a table in their outdoor dining area. Stepped into the 3 C’s - a closed space, crowded with diners, in close contact with one-another. Servers were not wearing masks. Only two diners in this bustling...restaurant were wearing face coverings. With so many travelers from near and far and so little regard for safety, we got out of there as fast as our little legs could carry us.More

Rudest manager at the restaurant. Her name is Danielle. Danielle is nothing but an arrogant human being with no sense of customer service and I don't know how she became the manager of that restaurant. My family decided to have breakfast at Mountain Village Restaurant...and she seems not having a good mood from the very start. We were welcomed with a blank face and were seated on a table that has two air vents on a cold morning. I get it, that time that maybe the only table available. We kindly asked if we can get another table because we are freezing and she said that " no, there isn't any available table". She took our orders and we got the wrong one. She gave us attitude and said " I can comp your food and you guys can leave". At that point I was shocked because I have never met a person as rude and as arrogant as Danielle. I asked for her name and she said I can get it to anyone and everybody knows her! Wow,she must be a celebrity!😲 I don't care if she is the owner of that restaurant or owner of the Mountain Village Resort. Treating a customer like that is not okay. People visit Stanley because they want to have a good time and not be pissed by a rude and arrogant manager.More

Was headed on a road trip on this day; but decided to stray off just a tad (you can see this hotel, restaurant, bar from the main road) to try another local small business. It was a chilly day; yes, there are chilly days out...here through the Summer...so I ordered a bowl of soup. Warmed my spirits as well as my stomach...More
